Since 2001 (past 22 years)...

Appearances (Wins)

East Division
Ohio - 5 (0 Wins)
Miami - 5 (3 Wins)
Buffalo - 3 (1 win)
BGSU - 3 (2 Wins)
Marshall - 2 (1 Win)
Akron - 2 (1 Win)
Kent State - 2 (0 Wins)

West Division
NIU - 9 (5 Wins)
Toledo - 5 (4 Wins)
CMU - 4 (3 Wins)
Ball State - 2 (1 Win)
WMU - 1 (1 Win)
EMU - 0

Overall Wins by Division
East - 8 (36%)
West - 14 (64%)

Notes
West Division has won the MAC in 7 of the last 10 years
NIU appeared in the MAC Championship game 6 years in a row from 2010 - 2015 (winning 3)

This year is trending toward a Toledo vs. Miami or Ohio Championship game. This pains me to say it...Miami has all the moment in the world but they do have to play Toledo this weekend. Should be a fun one to watch.

Lets DEFEND THE FRANK next weekend against WMU and pack peden for the Miami game. Go Bobcats

If the Cats can take WMU and Miami loses to Toledo they can virtually wrap up the MAC East with a win next week agains Miami.

That is because Ohio would have 1 MAC loss Miami 2 and Ohio would be sitting with head 2 head advantage. With 3 MAC games remaining Ohio would only need to lock up 1 out of those 3 remaining games to win the East which in this case is all but assured.

Definitely a scenario that can materialize quickly.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

maybe... we still play CMU and go at Buffalo. I don't think any of those is a given even if we win the next 2 convincingly.

CMU always worries me, and usually its warranted.

In the scenario I outlined we'd have Buffalo, Akron and CMU on the schedule and only needing 1 win out of 3 to lock the East.

We shall know in 8 days.

Not if Miami won their last 3. They'd be 6-2 and we'd be 5-3 and it wouldn't matter if we beat them.
