Bazelak had an ESPN QBR rating of 8.4 for the game, which is bad. By comparison, Rourke was 98.3, which is outstanding, and Navarro was 27.3.

98.3 led the nation this week though there were some quarterbacks with a high number on a lot more volume of passing attempts.

I enjoyed the BG game not only because we won, but because they have a sound system that works and a score board with stats. Can this campus commit to athletics?

Maybe I should have asked," Does this campus know the value of athletics.' From Alden's front porch to," You have to look professional", to be professional. There are many who will be here for a game on Saturday. I'm not saying we have to expand the stadium to 55,000 as proposed in the late 1960's, there are many ways this campus and community can commit to having a good time on a fall afternoon.

BG wins, 38-27. Great catch to take the lead, by Finn Hogan. He was being tackled before the got there, but made the one-handed snag anyway:

Wow, that was another P5 win for the MAC this year. I'll take it. They must have been motivated. I'm with you Gill. Driving around campus, for the most part, looks pretty new or renovated....it's unfortunate that alumni will see how awful Peden looks. (Students side) primarily. I laughed with the Cyclone faithful that traveled to the game.

21 point underdogs and they throttle them. Both last season and apparently this season, BG has been impossible to figure out. Both times we saw them I thought they were a terrible football team.

Craziest ending to a game I’ve seen in a long time.

That's good for BG's SOS and bad for the RedHawks.

Did you all see how this went and know what the crazy ending Cat5 is speaking of is? I got back from homecoming about 9:30 and saw a lot of the end of this game but not the very end. The key points:

-Georgia Tech scores a TD with near the end of the third quarter to pull within 10-7.
-Tyler Van Dyke is picked off two plays later and sets the Jackets up on the 26 yard line. They take the lead 4 plays later.
-Tyler Van Dyke in intercepted again a few plays later and sets up the Jackets on Miami's 15 early in the 4th. They fail to punch it in and go up to scores and settle for a FG to go up 17-10.
-Miami responds by going 75 yard in 5 plays to tie the score with 9:55 left.
-Haynes King is intercepted a few plays later setting Miami up on the GT 14 but they can only kick a FG to go up 3 with 6:23 left.
-GT goes three and out and chooses to punt.
-Miami gets their third first down on the ensuing drive reaching the GT 30 yard line with 1:22 left and GT only having 1 timeout so counting just a second of actual play time while taking an ordinary knee they can run out the clock.
-This is the most key point. As this was the last close Eastern night game I go to get ready for bed since the West Coast night games are still in the second quarter.
-Miami fails to realize the math and runs the ball. Donald Cheney of the Canes fumbles on third down on the GT 26 with 0:33. GT recovers needing to go 74 yards with no timeouts.
-After an incompletion, the Jackets complete a 30 yard pass.
-They snap the ball on the Miami 44 with 0:10. Christian Leary somehow gets behind the Miami defense, is hit in stride, and scores a TD with 0:01.

Kudos to anyone who stuck around to the end. Watch the highlights if you haven't seen them.

I though Miami was being undersold at #17 and was an actual contender. This is a really costly coaching mistake and a costly mistake on the secondary on the final touchdown.
