Definitely the worst announced game I've heard all year. Is this the first game they've ever done? Almost every single time down the floor they mix up a name. These guys make Reghi and Mix sound like Chick Hearn and Dick Enberg.

After getting outrebounded 20-14 in 1st half we're up 14-6 in 2nd half.  Haven't seen this level of intensity all year.

I really like when Adams does our games on ESPN.  He may be a little off tonight as he was on ESPN last night too calling the Cal Poly vs. USCB in Santa Barbara.  I suspect he has had a VERY long day.

I have to agree...I like Adams as an announcer..although he is a little off his game tonight...

Being from ohio, i think he always represents ohio teams well...whether he is announcing us..wright state..ud...or any other MAC, or horizon league or even A-10 team.

Adams knows the MAC and repeatedly had to correct pronunciation mistakes by play-by-play announcer ("Dambrow", "Keeney").

I loved how they implied that we got in foul trouble and were never in the game at Akron.  Nevermind that we led much of that game.

Folks, this is why you turn the ESPN volume down and turn up Russ and Rob.

I'll tell ya where we'll go. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talkin' bout a little place called... ATHENS.

I thought the announcers made a lot silly mistakes with names and what not but overall I thought they did a good job of calling it like a big time game and certainly had a lot of complimentary things to say about Ohio's* Bobcats.

I usually like these guys but they seemed pretty unprepared.

Agreed, I'm watching the replay, and the play-by-play guy said that if Ohio won they'd clinch the #1 seed in the MAC Tournament.

By the way, I also heard a lot of great things about the O Zone tonight.

For the record, I hated it, but it seems to have worked.

The Ohio's Bobcats drove me crazy for some reason.

The O Zone sounded great tonight, and Clark Kellog was at the game and on twitter gave props to them tonight "Bobcats student section was on point tonight! Up and engaged the whole time. Take a bow... well done!"

Why were we wearing green at home? Have we been doing that all year?

Man, some of those guys at ZipNation have a highly inflated view of their team.  I found this funny:

Zippy Lover wrote:
I agree not taking anything away from Ohio. They beat us to death last year at their home as well. They must be a very good team. But hands down we are better and we as a team needs to know that...

Based on some of their posts, you'd think Ohio hasn't beat Akron 4 of the last 5 times they have played.  In fact, over the past 5 games, Akron has only held the lead for about 20 minutes of the possible 205 minutes they have played.

About 10 minutes of those 20 minutes they led came in the back and forth OT MAC Championship game...

Another 4 minutes of that 20 came earlier this year after Ohio had led the prior 36 minutes @Akron....nevermind 3 of our top players had fouled out by then...

But, "hands down" they are the better team.

I also like their fan's logic that "they will be okay since they got blown out in Athens last year but things ended up working out for them."  That makes them the better team...nevermind they didn't have to play Ohio in the MAC tourney last year.

Some thoughts, most have already been covered:

-When we're hitting shots, I don't think any team in the conference would be able to take us.  Of course, you have to be hitting shots.  Brings me to my next point...

-We're peaking at the right time of the season.  Started off great, had a slump for the middle of the season, and now we're hitting on all cylinders.  Great timing, but I don't want to see us become complacent.  Keep it going into Cleveland and beyond!

-Our guys played with great intensity across the board.  Akron was playing at a level below us and paid dearly for it.

-I think our guys are playing into their roles great.  Offutt and Kellog are can score at will, Coop is doing a great job distributing, Stevie is dynamite off of the bench.  Keely and Smith are doing a great job underneath.  Ivo was quiet last night, but I liked his jump shots.  I know I left out some.

-The Ozone was great last night.

-Really liked seeing Coach Groce coaching up until the end.  Loose ball, our guy gets it, JG sprints to the official to call time out.

Now, the flip side:

-I loved the Ozones intensity, but (this being a member) the a*****e part of the you suck chant is getting old.

We had great intensity and it's obvious we like to run. That's the kind of game that favors us. I'm not sure about our half court game. Keely had a few nice post moves and I'd like to see more of that, including Baltic, than all the three chucks. It worked last night, though.
