I read on the game summary that Jason Carter is "reinjured".

Does that mean the previous injury came back,or did he injure something else ?

Heard last night that this goes all the way back to junior year in high school with possible misdiagnosis and treatment. If I was a betting man I'd say redshirt this year. Sitting out a year and getting it right is much preferable to hobbling a whole career and throughout life.

Seems odd that they didn't pick up on it until now.

Not at all. Stuff gets misdiagnosed all the time. I once fell against a low railroad tie wall and went to the hospital and was told I had some serious bruising. The pain didn't go away. Went back to the same hospital two days later with different doctors and was told I had broken ribs and a punctured lung. As for Carter, I'll defer to our resident Indiana foot doctor/specialist on this one.

I can understand a misdiagnosis.

But in your case, you're talking a couple of days.
And when things didn't get better, you went back.

With JC,we're talking years.

I would really like to see exactly what his issues are.
But with privacy laws I don't know how much we'll ever know.

Of course, it still could be a guess on some doctor's part. Hoping Jason fully heals and has a nice career with Ohio. If that means sitting out the rest of this season, by all means do it.

Three years with JC and Nate Springs would be fine by me. One year for Nate to learn and two years with him stronger and tearing up the league!!!!

Move in weekend my senior year at Ohio my buddies over on Stewart Street had a slip n slide. Later in the afternoon my sliding form got a little careless and I injured my wrist.

Went to Holzer Clinic a couple days later but my x-ray came back clean. A week later I got a call saying they had re-examined and found a small fracture in my hand.

My 3-point stroke has never felt the same since.

I've seen crazier things happen.

Might as well pin this thread...

What's Carter's status?

It was addressed a little on the coaches show, but there was no definitive conversation about when he'll be ready to go. There was mention of when the shutting him down discussion might happen, so there's that to consider as being a real possibility in the not too distant future if the injury doesn't heal.

Is it the same leg injury we're talking about?

I saw Arkley tweeted last week he had another (unrelated injury) keeping him out but no mention of how serious that was...

I can't say if it is, or isn't. There wasn't reference to specifics if I recall.

According to the response to Arkley's question at 2:29 here, "The same injury is what's keeping him out."
