Knowing those guys, they would have wanted to turn around and get another keg right then, but I knew that would blow our cover! You sure we were in green unis in that NCAA game? I believe that Larry Hunter did, in fact, play out his time at OU and was a good move for our program. I don't like Dustin Ford When I was at OU from 94-98 I met many of the players during that era, Ed Sears was and still is the coolest guy I met (Treg Setty is a close second) I think us having a Joyce on our coaching staff is what is making this year horrible Travis Wilkins is the most underrated Bobcat in the past 10 years. I didn't get it done until 5:15 (printed out at the computer lab). Lasher's doors were locked at 5. I snuck in through an open window on the ground floor. No one was there. Saw the stack of reports already turned in and placed mine right in the middle of the stack. The first time I ever saw highlights from the '83 game was on a random "Amazing Sports Highlights" VHS tape that a friend of mine had (I assume still does). It was a hodge podge of all different sports but somehow Tatum's shot made the cut. Is anyone else familiar with this tape? I first saw it in like 2001 and I am guessing it was from the late 80s. A big confessional I have is that I had what I thought was a great idea that I never had the stones to bring to life as I was too afraid of getting into a legal mess. It's probably dumb now but at the time I thought it would have been hilarious. I was a frequent visitor to Bong Hill-mainly just to chill and watch the world go by-nothing too wild. I had the idea to cut white letters out of plywood and install them on the side of the hill where 32/50 and 33 come together to spell Hollywood, all jagged like in LA. I even had planned buying the materials and doing all of the work here in my dad's shop in Cincinnati so that the cops couldn't go to Carter Lumber trying to find out more info. It all would have been installed under the cover of darkness, for everyone to wake up to the next morning. Did anyone else on here ever drive out to The Mountaineer Family Restaurant in Parkersburg? I had a group of friends that we would go out at least once a quarter just to get out of town for a few hours. He was slurring pretty bad ... attendant had no idea what he was saying. Player went back out to the car and grabbed an empty bottle of courvoisier and came back in and said "This. Do have any of this?" The Pit Stop was a magical place. I met a player on your list who shall remain nameless who I had to help walk home one night after a few too many Quads at the J-Bar. It was a Thursday night when we had a Saturday game. I remember telling my buddy "This is why we are terrible." And Simmons was great. I only got to see Mike Reese for a year in person but he was solid as well and unsung. We had some regulars that I got to know... most were super kind and I'd hook them up with some extras of course. Those that weren't, I didn't get paid/tipped enough to deal with their crap so their food would occasionally make a stop on the floor kitchen floor before being served. I was kind compared to some of my other co-workers. "we are bound to win the fray..." Don't let anyone block your pride. I hear the clear sound of bongos being played up the street a bit. I didn't think anything of it because its quite common to see various types of music/instruments being played on court during the late hours. I'm passing by Insomnia cookies and there's a guy sitting there, on a bench, free styling away on his bongos. It was none other than Mo N'dour by himself. Just another reason why he's my favorite bball bobcat of all time!
