I said the kid made a decision to go elsewhere and we should wish him well. We don't have to disrespect our university for a kid. I did not say you or anybody else made him go anywhere. I don't believe you could lead anyone to do anything. Trust me, I don't believe you or Ohio Bobcat have influence over him or anybody, I see you more as his crazed fans or second string cheer leaders who will do anything to get noticed by him. People want to be inspired to do great things anybody can be mediocre. Please reread my comments

Blah, blah, blah....arguing that Burrow is too good for Ohio.

Sorry, but yeah, he is.

He may start his senior year or he may sit behind Tate Martell. While the MAC will have three QB's drafted this year. He is sitting behind someone with a 4th round grade. I wish him the best, but he is not too good for Ohio. Just like Big Ben was not too good for Miami. Too good for Ohio, lol. We have had players get drafted, Mike Mitchell has made over 20 million. Big Ben has made over 100 million, what OSU NFL QB has had more success than Big Ben. The Only QB from OSU in the NFL is Cardale Jones, unless you want to count Terrell Pryor. Try to sell your autographs on ebay.

Who said anything related to Burrow and the NFL? He's a P5 caliber player and yes, he's too good for Ohio and just about every other G5 school out there as well. You can throw in all of the FCS, D-II, D-III and JUCO's too if it makes you feel any better.

He is not to good for anybody, this is your mediocre thinking. He is not starting at Ohio State. He is a 4 star recruit who play again the lies of Nelsonville, Logan, etc, with 2 D1 caliber WR's, a D1 starting cornerback. Hopefully he beats out Martell, who 43-0 and played 5 of the top 25 schools in the country. As I stated the MAC has 3 QB's who will probably get drafted and three underclassmen being scouted. Kind of reminds me of Tariq Owens, former basketball commit. Btw, we have plenty of power 5 caliber players. Papi White a former Oklahoma State commit, Zervos, Poling, Pruehs, Farkas and Hagan are receiving NFL looks.

So why are we not winning championships? You continually say we have all this super talent, so why are we not winning? Funny, every kid who commits to OHIO you claim will be dominate, everyone who doesn't isn't very good, yet we still haven't won. Why?

Please, for the love of all that is good and holy, "dominate" is a verb, DOMINANT is the adjective.

My only worry is that, with this much secrecy from the committed, how certain are is the staff that it is a firm commitment? Morgan Ellison seems like he should've been one to receive high praise from OC and the OLine, he committed then decommitted. What assurances do the coaches have that this mystery dream recruit is legit?

This is not a mystery dream recruit. He's a recruit, no better or worse than any other recruit. He just decided not to announce on Twitter like everyone else.

Ted, let me ask you this much if I can. Did you get the impression, or do you know, if this kid is someone who is really going to provide the "wow factor" when it's announced, or is this simply the case of the coaches stirring up too much excitement with their overzealous tweets?

I don't think their tweets were overzealous. They were in line with tweets they've sent about other commits. As for the wow factor, I don't know who it is so I can't say. But people seem to be treating this announcement different than the rest. The only difference is that the player, unlike all the other recruits, didn't follow up the coach's tweets with his own tweet announcing his commitment.

OK here's my guess, which is based on series of events on Twitter around the time frame of the original Coach tweets, I'll spare you the details.

Isiah Cox from Walker HS in Jasper, AL.

Not bad. He'd be a good addition. He has offers from Arkansas State, South Alabama, and S. Miss. in addition to Ohio.

If I guess enough I might get this right....Guess #2 Woobendy Guerrier South Dade HS, FL. Ran a 10.8 100 and a 4.39 40.

EDIT: He's listed as CB/S in his highlights so probably not him. Still someone we've looked at though.

My guess is that we had a grad transfer and we lost him or it is in limbo.

It looks like we may have lost the guy as all of the insiders said it was graduate transfer and then suddenly change their stories.

I don't believe any insider that actually knew the story said anything, and those that said things didn't know as much as they thought they did. I still think we may have a surprise, and I'm not sure we'll know by LOI day. Maybe, yes. Maybe, no.

I'm starting to think this might be the case. I think something could happen or be announced sometime after signing day.

I would say it's gonna be some kid from Michigan who has followed everyone from Ohio on my social media recently. Eddie McDoom, who like I said followed a ton of folks from Ohio on Instagram for no apparent reason.

Nonetheless, this thread has gotten old and it's going to be just some kid from a big time program who didn't get PT.

The thread that wouldn't die.

McDoom....Scottish surname...meaning Son of Doom...but alas...he's still on the UM roster.

But we will find out soon....he says in his best Rod Serling voice...or will we?

Who started this mess?

McDoom can flat out get to the passer and he's a run-stopper.

If we get him, look for us to go to three down linemen as our base set.
