I hope that Ellis improves, he was a 4th string cb who had to play because of injury. If he is able to win that position without DRASTICALLY improving, we will get destroyed. I wen and rewatched the Akron game to make sure my eyes were not deceiving me and they were not. He broke up 3 passes but had three occasion where he got ran by and he gave over 10 yard cushions. Any wide receiver could have caught 10 slants and he would have had to tackle his guy one on one in space, he only missed two tackles and appeared to be pretty good against the run. If we want to improve our pass defense we need to look at upgrading the corner position. I don't think he has earned start forever status.

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

Right, we got it before. "If Brad Ellis a starting corner back next year, than we will have a losing season." Playing Ellis is "insanity."

The mysterious Bcat2. What does he see in Brad Ellis. From fourth string to All-MAC, that would be quite a feat, I say we identify some play right away corners and make some offers, lets hedge our bets.

"From fourth string to All-MAC" I said that? You know I did not. A typical Monroe make stuff up response. Do not make this about something I posted. I agreed with Bobcatblitz's sleeper starter assessment to which we have your response. "If Brad Ellis a starting corner back next year, than we will have a losing season." Playing Ellis is "insanity." We got it. We will see. Give it a rest.

I can't answer for Bcat2 but Ellis just made a play to keep us from being down 14-0 5 minutes into the game.

Let's have a competition in the spring and fall for cornerback. He has made a play and gave up a TD. Troy is on pace to throw for 400. Can we please wish for better pass defense. Toran Davis has been in the right place today. Let go Cat's
