Nice to go to an away game and see a win, but holy God is the gameday production in Yager Stadium annoying. The finish of EVERY play is met with canned pop or dubstep music. They must have played 60 different songs and their band may have played 10 times from the stands.

Not sure if you were there at the start...but worse than that was the music still playing underneath a moment of silence AND the national anthem (yes, the national anthem!). Our Ohio section was going crazy...so disrespectful and bush league.

At little perspective from my observations in Oxford, Ohio, today. I'm actually writing this from my brother-in-law's house in this most forsaken of all Ohio cities. Miami's football team was really psyched up for this game today. It was clear to me that they really want to both end their losing streak this year and OHIO's streak against them. Miami played with a great deal of intensity on both sides of the ball throughout the game. They really left everything on the field. Mark my words, Miami will make some noise in the MAC this year, and could very well play the role of spoiler down the road. OHIO was certainly a little hobbled due to injuries, especially at the RB position, but Irons and Hardy really played well in spots but not with the consistency that they will have when they have more experience. Windham's passing is also inconsistent; he can look like all world on one play and then be incredibly out of sync on the next. It seems to me that he's usually best on downfield passes and tends to overthrow slants and screens. I think he'll get better as the season progresses. I'm still confident that this team will be in contention for the MAC East and could surprise folks in the MACC. I also noted today that a number of true freshman had contributed and made exceptional plays. This team is only going to get better.

Miami looks better, but I'm doubting that they can get up for many future games like they did in this one. They might surprise someone, but with their QB woes, they're not likely to win many games. They are a very young team, they're be much better in the future years though.

My hope is they will get hot over these losses and fire this staff and start over again.

I could not watch the game. My perception was they wanted to take away Sebastian Smith on offense and handle/avoid Poling on defense. Any merit to that perception?

I would say that they were successful in limiting Smith (1 catch for 12 yards). Harding, probably their best player, did a good job on him in man coverage. Windham didn't have his best day, so that contributed. I don't think anyone can be completely successful in avoiding Poling.

I caught the end of the EMU-BG game and the announcers were talking about where EMU was a year ago. Losing lots of close games and their coach harping on how they needed to find a way to win. Fiami's in the same boat. Give them a year and they might be where EMU is today.

EMU has taken a cue from Ohio's non-conference scheduling with easy games. Miami is playing at Marshall, hosting Cincinnati and at Notre Dame in 2017. An extra loss or two a year makes a difference when it keeps a program from finishing .500 and making bowl games.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086
