I don't take too much issue with his tweets aside from lack of accountability. It's not like Allen Hester who used his facebook status to nuke Tim O'Shea from orbit without restraint.

Huh. Reading those tweets makes me think I'm clueless regarding what PG play is supposed to look like. Unless Willis is just talking to himself..... You know, I think I'll just take the advice to not try to understand anyone's tweets....

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

I've thought he was a punk from day one. Thought he may have turned the page in Hawaii, but I guess I was wrong.. Dude needs put into his place.. Seems like his teammates are almost scared of him. I'd love to see N'Dour rip into him.. He's a cancer to this team.

I wonder if his uncle (Karl Malone) ever ripped into his team like that after a loss.

The current status of the program is the result of the horrible decision by the AD to hire JC. I wonder how much effort went into that search. The AD seems to be untouchable.

I worry about you guys at least as much as I worry about the bored, late-night ramblings of a frustrated college athlete.

If I could put into words the opposite of how I feel this is what I would have come up with.

I can't agree with this. Who would have expected Jim to get the offer to coach at BC? I have to imagine it caught Schaus by surprise. The state of the program in terms of talent and players is a result of 3 coaches since 2012. Simple as that. Both coaches that left did the right thing for their families, and 95% of us would have done the same thing.

The coaching change caused every committed player to de-commit in the year of each coaching change. No coaching changes and we're looking at Levert as a Jr., and Groce probably would have found a couple PG recruits to follow Cooper/Taylor. Stuff happens, and has happened. Just realize that next year's cupboard looks more full than this year's because Saul & Co. seem to have recruited well.

This is a gloomy thread, so I will endorse this effort to derail it by saying that you should be grateful that your taste buds work correctly. That aqueous, cinnamon-polluted dreck is awful on its own and even worse when it festoons a slimy wad of starch that might have once been spaghetti. It's a non-food novelty at best.

The AD has earned the right to be untouchable. For anything you can find wrong I can find a dozen rights. Not saying he is infallable but he is pretty good for us and fits very well. Sameka and JC are well offset by other successes. I can't see much argument that would tell me we would be better off with any AD who would currently apply....and that includes a stable of OHIO grads that are ADs at other schools.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

By the way, we are having a bad season but the state of the program, from top to bottom, IMO is excellent. We just need to ride this year out and let Saul rebuild the locker room with players of his choosing.

I'm glad someone else threw the first stone. I am not a fan of Cincinnati chili although my wife loves it. Make mine savory and spicy (with beans). I remember my first trip to Cincinnati with my girlfriend (who would later become my wife and then ex-wife) and she raved about Cincinnati chili in general and her grandmother's in particular. Would love to have footage of me trying to choke it down so I didn't make a bad first impression.

I'm going to be honest...when someone tells me they don't like Cincy chili, or worse they completely destroy it like RJ did...I get a little pissed off. It'd be like someone telling you your hot wife is ugly. It is both insulting and mind-boggling that one would hold this opinion.

The Gold Star Chili in Athens closed down within 2 months of me graduating. This was NOT a coincidence.

In further defense of Jim Schaus, Akron coach Keith Dambrot (who just keeps winning and winning, dammit) was asked about the type of overall athletic program he would like to see Akron develop. He specifically called out our AD as "by far the best in the league."

I'm sure Schaus feels as burned by JC as we all do.

The funny thing about JC is that it was easier to buy into his lip service about staying long term than it is about Saul... And I'm not saying I don't believe Saul. Mostly, I don't know what to believe. Given where Jim had been, the idea of him coming back to a conference where he had huge success, after finding out the grass in the big 12 was kinda brown and moldy... his wife's alma mater... it made sense.

It entertains me that Cleveland people see it necessary to make sure everyone knows they hate Cincinnati chili.

I've not once heard a Cincy person carry on about how awful Cleveland's signature culinary contribution is.

Proably cause they ain't got one.

I don't think we have any risk of losing Saul for a few years!

I guess it only bothers me because some people mistakenly believe it's a state-wide ailment.

We do have a signature and very compelling contribution to cuisine, however: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stadium_Mustard
