I'm pretty sure the complaint isn't Bobby being on the floor. It's that Bobby has the audacity to complain about someone else being on the floor. It's akin to him complaining that someone whines to the officials too much.

"DUKE SUCKS" always a comment based in ignorance. Maybe, if you are really nice, Bobby will show you a couple of his national championship rings. Not sure about the hatred of what Coach K has dome at Duke. Win games, win championships, graduate players, put players into the NBA, bring former players back as assistants, find then head coaching jobs, and have minimal NCAA issues. Yep, they aren't UNC or Kentucky.

That's interesting. Not a lot different from my Indiana, Notre Dame, Ohio State,University of Chicago or (insert any institution) friends who go off and extoll the virtues of their school chastising the person rather than finding out why they have that thought. The person speaking may just say that based on an impression or they may actually base that in a fact gleaned on campus at a frat or a lacrosse gathering. They may have even worked a summer basketball camp and formed an opinion. It may come from something obscure like scheduling all home games or getting calls at Cameron. No one will ever know if you attack a poster and call them ignorant first. I m not saying Duke sucks. I have had the fortune to talk to gentlemen who have been at Duke and came away with both wonder and negative amazement that you might expect from any institution. No U Can be blindly held to be totally virtuous or totally amoral. Appreciate what you put up there on Coach K and his positive effects but seeing the bigger view makes you more than being "just another blind fan". The same ignorance that drives the Duke sucks lament can be applied to those who blindly and loudly defend same uni.

That's the way the Rat breeds point guards at Duke. Hurley, Wojo, Paulus, etc. Bunch of bitchy little girls (to quote Sam Axe), that aren't good enough to go pro and then sit next to K licking his cheeks for a few years.

Got a feeling Saul would love to own Hurley over the next few years.

It's probably not fair to rip Hurley for not being successful in the NBA considering he nearly died in a car accident early in his rookie season and who knows how that affected him as a player. However, ripping on him for being a cry baby about losing is completely warranted.

Frankly who cares if his guards aren't good pros. They are friggin great college players which is all I would care about. Are you saying D.J. Cooper's legacy is any less for Ohio because he is playing in Europe?

And by the way, did anyone see Mark Turgeon do exactly what Saul did after Dez Wells hit the game winner with 1.4 seconds left for Maryland. He actually threw in a bunch of extra fist pumps though. Chris Collins, another Dukie, was cordial in the handshake and didn't mention it afterwards.

The Buffalo News apparently didn't have anything. Maybe they can send only one reporter at a time out of state and chose to send one to Columbus for the NHL All-Star game.

The UB student paper had a piece about it. Of course, they said JC ran out onto the floor, which is understandable considering that Hurley apparently couldn't remember Saul's name either: http://www.ubspectrum.com/news/view.php/858715/Buffalo-st...

Well done by the student paper on their fact checking. I was hoping there would be a little more on this from the Buffalo perspective. Other than the tweet below, and reading a couple other tweets, I've not heard much.

Generally, I'm a stickler for rules that are clear but I don't believe it would ever be anyone's desire to see a game deciding play overturned by a "technical" violation that had absolutely no impact on the flow of the game. Even Bobby Hurley can't be in favor of that. #dezbryant

Someone explain to me what Saul had to apologize for? Pumping his fist? Stepping on the court while the clock was stopped? Where's the violation? Why on earth did he apologize to that idiot?

Hurley should know that Saul was calm by comparison to many other coaches and to footage of himself.

Interesting article I hope he read this article. http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB100014240527023040263045794... Interesting last paragraph.

I remember a 4h grader I was coaching asked why he kept having to "go around the one coach who was always out on the floor" I remember making a teaching moment out of it and telling the kids anytime a coach was out on the floor go ahead and run over him. 3 of them did so in HS and all got automatic T's on the opposing coach and each took time to find me and let me know they never forgot. Early in the game each was heading down the floor on offense and saw the coach fully out on the floor directing the D as they were on break and each looked toward mid court and ran right over him. Ref T ed each coach up automatically.

I agree with the Kerr and the article ....the coaches have no business out there. They , including Hurley, are not the show and should not be politicking and overcoaching the game. I so admire Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg's demeanor and composure on the sideline.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I always wonder why this doesn't happen more. I could imagine a guy like Nick K plowing Hurley, Tod, Senderoff, or Murphy just to tick them off a bit more than usual. Didn't know it would be a T but guess I'm not surprised.

I like your style . . . I really like your style! I'd love to see this in college game sometime. These coaches with their antics really do need to be cut down to size.

Sounds exactly what I would do. The coach would get a T and I bet he'd keep his butt on the bench or at least off of the court from then on.

Here's the thing about that... Hurley is crazy like a fox.

It's one thing to coach your guys to run into the youth coach that has no clue. But with Hurley, you are dealing with a guy who had fantastic court vision as a national championship point guard. I don't like him, but I have to respect the probability that he knows exactly where 10 bodies are on that court.

If you tried to make something happen by running into Hurley, you're most likely doing so at your own detriment.
