It uses a formula that considers this past season's rating, percentage of production returning, recruiting and recent history.

Would like to circle back to this twice - preseason coaches/media poll and final standings. I'll bet right now that Northern isn't the worst team in the West.

I hope this is true regarding OHIO, but some of the other rankings kind of blow the credibility of the formula they used.
