I loved some Tom Carder and Dennis Fitzgerald hits.

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes

@OSU in 2008. They kept playing Hells Bells when we faced a 3rd Down. Boo Jackson kept scrambling for a 1st Down.

I've seen crazier things happen.

I was there, too, and it was a great experience. Springs was a villain the year before -- delivering an aggressive hit on TE Mark Geisler which broke our guy's jaw. Great to turn that around with the hard fought win at old Miami Field with the sweep hand clock.

That was the Temple game in Athens in 2009. That's a good one.

Bynum intercepts a pitch and goes for 6 at Northwestern. Foreshadowing his epic pick-6 a week later vs Pitt.

2009 at Denton, Texas versus North Texas.
2ND OT, We score and Frank goes for two and wins the game!
Roll out pass as I recall T3 to ???
Kenny Jackson with a huge Pick 6 to get us back in the game in regulation
.
I was at the game. North Texas had a fireworks show planned and turned out the stadium lights right after the game and lit a few fireworks. Literally no one but a few Bobcat fans in the stands.
Raining when landed in Dallas on Friday and it was still raining when we left after the game. The rain never quit.
Shout out to Sandy Sook for an extraordinary Bash prior to the game. Luckily the Bash was indoors.

I remember following this game on a flip phone using the old ESPN game cast feature but falling asleep and the Cats being down quite a bit. Was very excited when I saw the final score!

Kind of a mix:

1965: We were bad. How bad? Wash Lyons carries the ball on 4th down near the goal line. Ref signals he's short, spots the ball with the tip over the goal line. Other refs runs in and moves it back. That's what happens when you are on your way to 0-10.
1968: At BGSU, looking like our chances of 10-0 are going away. Jack LeVeck nails BG QB PJ Nitray as he is trying to get OOB and is falling back. You could feel everyone in the stadium cringe. Scored twice late to win and almost scored again.
196X or 70: Not sure what year but we tie the game at the end when the first FG attempt is partially blocked, goes past the LOS, the defender tries to pick it up and fumbles. We recover, make the second FG try.

I was at that game with my new bride (we were married that summer) and a good friend, a BG grad. The final winning drive featured a number of passes from Cleve Bryant to Todd Snyder. On one pass play there was an interference call that sustained the drive. My friend claims to this day that it was a bad call and that without it OHIO would have lost. The final score was 28-27. My wife's main memory is how bitter cold it was, with a fierce wind whipping through the stadium. I do remember it was bone cold. Great win though!

I was going to say Fiddler on the Roof. Saw it twice with maybe the two greatest Tevyes -- Zero and Herschel Bernardi.

This isn't a great play but it's probably the most memorable moment. One homecoming the 110 and the Alumni Band were wrapping up the halftime show with a spectacular performance of Long Train Running. They were running late and the visiting team came out to warm up, but the band kept on playing, ala American Pie. We wound up getting penalized for delay of game. But it was worth it.

If you watch the Netflix documentary Happy Valley (which is mostly about the Sandusky scandal), you'll get a glimpse of 'us' near the end. Ohio is shown for about 5 or so seconds, as is our far away visitors section. The funny thing is that in the documentary, though they don't really mention the game specifically, it somewhat implies that the game vs Ohio was when 'Penn State was back', and the common fan would have assumed they won the game. But alas, they did not :)

Lots of great memories on this thread. I would have said Byrum pick-six for sure before, but now I'm not so certain.

1. Tettleton to Foster to beat PSU. That entire drive was a thing of beauty. Was with my dad who is a PSU alum. A bucket list item to see OU play PSU but the environment around PSU at that time made things feel a little different for him. As excited as I was about the win, he was completely deflated.

2. The OU alumni band member who knocked the ball out of the Miami player's hands during warmups before the 2nd half that started the melee on the sidelines. Still one of the strangest things I've ever seen at a sporting event.

196x or 1970: I believe that the play described, in which we got a second

chance, was in 1970 against The University of Dayton, in Athens, a game

which Ohio won, 17-14.

The TD was sweet, but to your point, being part of that engaged throng of Bobcats in the upper corner of the stadium was what I remember most. I don't recall the exact play, maybe a defensive
stand in the Third Quarter, where our section was chanting DE-FENSE! My voice was shot by the end of the game, too. Great memories.

My wife and I were in that throng. It was certainly a good day to be a Bobcat. Prior to the game we had a pre-game party at the house of a friend who was raised in Athens and who is now an engineering professor at Penn State. His wife is a Penn State grad. When we pulled into his driveway, they had a big OHIO and an equally large PSU flag flying and very visible from the driveway. After the game we were driven back to the house by the wife. While she congratulated us on the win, she was clearly very displeased with the outcome.

I'll concur with those on the Bynum pick 6. Also had to do with being located on top of Peden for the game so I had the perfect view of the play and the pandemonium.

Given the returning players, who might you expect to create a new "favorite play" for fans in 2017? Below are my potential play-makers. Add anyone you like. Not sure I remember a roster with this many.

Maxwell
White
Brown
Ouellette
Mangen
Poling
Moore
Hagan
Aloese
Ball
Odum
Harris, K
Cherry

Am I being passive by saying that I would be ecstatic if all of the above names stay healthy enough to just make average plays that move the chains/force 4th down punts?
