Job One. Figure out who who most want the LG and RT spots. Anderson, McCray, Pleasants, Grimes, Trotter, Fernandez, Hayes or Notestine. Anyone care to rank these for a LG, RT two deep?

There should be no two deep, no bias, there needs to be a competition.

allen, of course, there will be a competition. However, at the end of said competition there will be a two deep. I am asking if anyone would like to share their favorites for the winners of said competition. We do this every year without unnecessary consternation, errr, we used to. Now, how about it, I know you have an opinion. Everyone is waiting with bated breath for your considered opinion. I know I am on pins and needles waiting.

sorry, I misunderstood your post. The coaches should only consider one guy on the line a starter and that is Jake Pruehs. They need to give the players equal reps with the first team and starters and backups shall emerge. I have not seen enough of the guys. I thought Durrell Wood would have been All-MAC, but he looked very bad at times last year.

Yeah, job one wouldn't be about finding a quarterback.

No wonder we got 8-6, worse than the prior year etc etc etc etc and you want this coaching staff in the football hall of fame.

How many times are teams which have quarterbacks going to dice us before you understand,

Consider this a PSA.

As far as starters I'd say if healthy McCray at RT and Anderson at LG.

After that you're looking at guys from Fernandez to true Freshman Brett Kitrell.

Don't forget forgotten OL like Murdock and Dudziak.

How do you rank the OL? Do you do it on size with tall and lean better at pass blocking or short and stout better for the run? Do you do it on stats or footwork? Do you take a DocBobcat approach and use the guys who have played the most as the starting point like he does with recruiting by making a wish list of the guys he knows who have been offered and refines it to those who commit? It don't think its an easy exercise for a fan unless you want to go back through the game tape of each game this season.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

I don't do it by who's played the most...just the ones I've seen play the most.

The recruiting wish list for me is just fun for me...you can read it.....make fun of it...or ignore it....I could care less.

Wes. Really good question. You make important points about better frames for styles of blocking, footwork being key to mobility. Of course being powerful helps in being dominant, quickness is important as anything listed so far and vision to find the block that needs made having pulled across the line from the backside tackle. Backs hate it when you run by the LB. Looks bad on film too. Some will have all to physical tools and dominate in high school without needing to master proper techniques. I like Hayes film, I liked Beadles film. Footwork, mobility, range, power, vision, keeping a defender occupied and their hands down in pass protection. Just to start the discussion. For 99 cents you can download "Instant Replay" by Jerry Kramer. I highly recommend it. :)
