Just saw this. No MAC games on Saturdays in November: http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/mac/2017/03/01... /

And THREE games on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, instead of the usual two. Since only one will be on an ESPN cable channel, two will be streaming-only on ESPN3. A recognition that Internet service is now as effective as cable/satellite?

I definitely think it is. I'm using Sling TV and ESPN3 is just another channel in the service. Sure you don't get the best broadcast like on ESPN, ESPN2 or even ESPNU, but it's right there ready and available just like the other channels.

DirecTV just recently announced their streaming service to compete with Sling. I didn't know this when I signed up for it, but Sling is owned by DISH Network.

9/2 Hampton
9/8 @Purdue
9/16 Kansas
9/23 @EMU
9/30 @UMass
10/7 CMU
10/14 @BG
10/21 Kent
10/31 Fiami
11/8 Toledo
11/14 @Akron
11/24 @Buffalo

I see one guaranteed win here. The Buffalo game is on my birthday. Frank is 3-0 on my birthday -- two wins over the Redchickens and a win over NIU. Us 1944 guys have to stick together! ;-)

Prediction:

Hampton at night
Kansas Parents Weekend day game - could set an attendance record especially if we beat Purdue
CMU Homecoming day game
Kent day game
Miami
Toledo

Hopefully none of those day game are at noon.

I'd betcha there's a chance that KU game ends up on CBSSN and is at noon. Ideally it would be at 3:30 or 4pm.

Not going to happen. Season ticket reminder card that I just got has that game listed as Class of 2021 night. Kansas game is Parents Weekend. I'm predicting a sell out unless the weather is really bad.

Assuming closer to game time there will be individual threads. Did create a smal travel guide to UMass - on campus and assume D.A. can add a lot of stuff from a Bobcat perspective.

Thanks Steve, and saw your post on UMASSHoops as well. I'll likely be in touch soon about suggestions for coordinating our tailgate, and hope we can bring 250 or more Bobcats to Amherst as we did to Gillette. Bring your tequila, we'll come thirsty.

One thing: any back channel info on kick time for our game? I haven't seen anything.

The Few, The Proud, The Bobcats!

And for the record, I hate tOSU, and Ricordati and Torgerson are DB's.

"This isn't just another walkover from the MAC." Kirk Herbstreit, another DB, on College Football Gameday

None and not sure about making the July 31 Gridiron Golf Tournament. Would imagine some news there but feel it will be impacted by our TV negotiations. Expect all home games to be televised. Based on last year either noon or 3:30 PM. Here's to hoping for a 3:30 PM kick off and regardless will bring some Tequila!
