Robert--That really riles you? C'mon, in all seriousness, isn't everyone her out of love of OHIO UNIVERSITY and excitement and hope for OHIO FOOTBALL. And, for some give and take discussion.

Look, based on our game, I just don't see CMU's qb as a pro prospect. I may be 100% wrong. Okay, if so, I'll admit it.

Strong opinions are nothing to get upset about.

When I present as fact 12 years of no season with less than four losses against every-year-a-weak-sched and no MACC in 11 years, that's mostly fact. And the 'weak sched' part is pretty darn close to a fact.

Some disagree with my points of view. No problem. Argue back with solid reasoning.

Those who state 'can't have opinion since never played' or who see every single bit every time of OHIO FOOTBALL as ideal are the problem. Such viewpoints don't even allow for discussion!

Some seem to think that I never say a word positive. It's not so.

Did anyone catch the Cowboys preseason game last night? At one point Rush was 8-8 with 104 passing yards and 1TD.
Wish he was here to admit he was wrong

Welp. Hate to bring it back up (not really)

Rush goes undrafted.

UDFA signing by the Cowboys.

Think my beer bet is safe....

... but then again, I never played D-I college football, so what do I know

See my previous post about Cooper Rush's night last night. I too look forward to my free beer 😄

He did look good. He looked awful during the combine, the Cowboys may have gotten a steal.

Don't buy into the preseason hype! Preseason games are meaningless so far as determining if a rookie will be successful in the NFL. Believe me, I'm a woebegone Browns fan and I'v e seen a fair number of Browns players and QBs look great in the preseason only to s*** the bed when the bright lights and real games start. Don't get hooked.

While it isn't necessarily true that if a player does well in the preseason, he will do well in the regular season, the opposite is mostly likely true. If a player sucks in the preseason, he almost certainly won't do well in the regular season...mostly because he won't be on the roster at all. As I recall, the bet regarding Rush wasn't whether he would be good in the NFL, but whether he would be on the roster.

The opportunity to pay up is here:
Expansion of Beer Sales on a Pilot Basis
After a successful three years of selling beer in hospitality areas at Peden without incident, OHIO will now pilot expansion of beer sales throughout the stadium in 2017, contingent on final permit approval from the State of Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Liquor Control. The expansion plan was drafted with the input from, and support of, the Ohio University Police Department. The change is in response to customer survey feedback and is consistent with all seven other FBS football venues in the state of Ohio (Akron, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Kent State, Miami, Ohio State and Toledo). OHIO's concessionaire, AVI Foodsystems, Inc., will handle the sales and will follow their industry standard procedures for alcohol sales with an emphasis on responsible consumption.

OHIO Athletics will create an alcohol free zone for fans that prefer to sit in an area without consumption. This area is in section 110, rows 14 – 27 and can be purchased by calling the ticket office at 800-575-2287. Also of note, OHIO will not sell beer at the concession stands on the student side of the stadium.

This.

There is a decision the Cowboys have to make .... carry three QBs or go into the season with Cooper Rush (ZERO NFL experience) as your primary backup over a guy (Kellen Moore) that has NFL experience?

Their call.

Sounds like they'd ideally like to keep him on the practice squad (which is what I expected and why I made this "bet") ... but he'd have to clear waivers and they're worried that might not happen.

There is still nearly a month before 53-man rosters are finalized. We can revisit this then.

....but yes, I'll still buy the beer. Just have to do it on the press box side of the field because they aren't selling it on the student section side (stupid!)

Isn't judging one performance in the pre-season like judging how attractive somebody is at 1:45 a.m at the Greenery after a dozen beers and hearing too many Vanilla Ice songs?

(Sorry for the reference that many posters on here are too young to understand).

Let's give it a little more time.

It looks like B Shot will be paying up. He is 12-12 for 164 in two preseason games so far.

Should we assume this is taking place in the Bobcat Club tent? ;)
