D-line, we have a chance to be amazing. I was wrong about Stroebel, I thought he was coming here for free grad school education, the kid came to play. The line is deep. We have to impose our will on most teams. Casey deserves to have a great year. Basham needs to Basham. Defensive ends need to be disciplined on first and second down. I love the linebackers. Polings instincts and fundamentals are awesome, he needs to blast people that don't wrap up. Blair Brown is great, he needs to wrap up and be a great leader. Can't wait to see them go sideline to sidline.
Corner backs are the biggest concern. I can just imagine the cushion we will give, we have to trust the kids and let them play, the prevent defense will not work. Lets work them in quick and hope they hold up. Safeties we have talent, I thought there should be a total overhaul. I seen so many bad angles and missed tackles, no interceptions. Nobody should be safe there, especially with the talent we brought in. If we had enough corners, I would love to see Hagan and Williams back there. The DB coach will need to earn his due because the front 7 weill be ready.
Once again, sorry for the honesty, I want to win. My cavs won last years, let's go Cat's this year.
There was a year where we focussed on turnovers and had a great year I think it was the year that TJ Break it Up Wright stripped the Illini receiver and won the game for us. We were in the top ten in turnover differential, lets have one of those years.
