I believe it starts with the coaches. The players love Frank and the coaches and the coaches love the players. I believes the coaching needs to be inspirational, transformational and full of confidence. Last year, before the Minnesota game, I was so disgusted. The coaches said we had to play a perfect game to win. Minnesota was not our Goliath, neither is App State, we cannot make idols out of our opponents. When these young men hear that and make mistakes towards the end of the game, they will lose. There is a Proverb that says so as a man thinketh so is He. These players need to know they were overlooked by big schools, not that they were not good enough to play there. The coaches need to hold players accountable, if somebody misses three tackles and they are an upperclassman, sit his butt down and talk to him. Let him know he needs to perform if he wants to play.
QB Windham came in pretty well regarded and has not payed to his potential going back looking at film. His problem, his problem is his nerves. He made bad throws dropped snaps, looked flustered. Windham you belong. Players need to get in his face in a motivating way and let him know he belongs on that stage along with the coaches. JD is pretty steady, I criticized his arm, I had no idea he was having shoulder problems. He has to make smart decisions. I love the way he runs, run more if the defense gives it to him. His key is decision making.
Running backs. I can't wait to see AJ with the new speed. LC was right, what he does better than any of of our backs is he breaks the first tackle, he did not explode through the second level, which the other other three do best. Let the defense determine who plays here. You have to let Dorian and Maleek get a rhythm. two or three series in a row. One of them will break one AJ included in every game even against Tennessee. These are top flight backs, forget about the conference they play in. Papi is a match up night mare. If the o-Line is creating big holes, feed him, what he will do in the open field will be devastating. Give him some wheel routes. Get Maleek some swing passes, are db's may be able to bring him down because they are used to him, but others won't.
O-Line needs to bring that physicality and impose their will, we have to many good biggins. Strong critiquing will help here.
Wide outs, we forgot about Cope as the season went on. Smith is our Mohhamad Sanu, stong hand and a strong frame. Throw him the damn ball, lol. Reid is sneaky fast and runs good routes, he used to drop passes, now he is very reliable. Ball looks like he may have that it factor, if he breaks out, unleash him.
Tight End it seems like we have solid guys, they need to block well and sell the block and run great routes, they can converts a lot of third downs.
Sorry for the grammar and the honesty. No more damn Goliath's.

Nobody despises to lose more than I do. That's got me into trouble over the years, but it also made a man of mediocre ability into a pretty good coach. Woody Hayes
