LOng read but enthralling. Basketball at the highest level is in the same boat....thankfully at the mid major level ...not quite there yet. Chicago is a cesspool of guys who resemble this.

I thought the one where a bonus was provided if the recruit didn't visit a certain school with a nice campus environment was quite scary... I guess* the good news is that we are not battling big time schools that employ this tactic. *(Hope)

I think you are right. We should not be in the crowd that resorts to this. Groce on the other hand is smack in the middle of it. Tough sledding for a Taylor guy as it tests moral and ethics while his predecessor in Lawrence has no such problem.

The NCAA has no handle on this while the parents and handlers are greedy, self entitled moochers hanging on the kids coat tails. Wish i had a buck for every parent I met along the way proclaiming their kid to be "the next......". It is slimy. I have not yet watched the 30/30 with George Raveling but there could not be any more slimy guys walking the earth.

Pretty good stuff. Interesting to hear Saul's thoughts in the Green/White interview on 4 year guys and mid majors. Escape a lot of the drech at the next level.
