But, of course, a much greater chance of death by gashing wounds

self-inflicted

by other nominees for the White House.

One must remember which party is relatively mainstream, which rather near the edge ..or over.

Sorry, but this election cycle, both parties are "near the edge.. or over".
One to the right, the other to the left.

That is simply not so.

We CANNOT let Trump be President. Just cannot.

Truly a man in the mainstream and clearly qualified to be President.

Surely both parties have nominated people of equal character.

Actually BOTH candidates are the most hated/despised to EVER run for president. No doubt Trump is an idiot but honesty, something Clinton lacks, is part of 'character'.

True. But Clinton's within the normal range of weird/deceitful for presidential candidates.

Trump seems clueless. He seems to really believe the hollow promises he's making. Specific of how you'll do things, please. How will you pay for the things which you promise?

Again, Trump's apparent lack of building teams to govern and manage politics is troubling.

About 100 days to the election and he's yet to prove himself qualified. He's ranging from buffoon to dangerous.

And he's set himself two paths: First, continue to act the fool in order to keep the base he's built...which is very likely not wide enough to win it and won't gain him new supporters. Or, tone down the nutso, therby becoming a generic politician (like his boring convention speech)--which may cool off his base while gaining him few new followers.

Incredible. Tremendous. Amazing. The best ever.

Trump has been shown time and again to be the least honest of all the presidential candidates. The most honest? Hillary Clinton. None of the scores were impressive, mind you, but Trump was solidly last.

Most honest/least honest, based on what objective analysis ?

When determining honesty, are you merely referring to Trump being found to have said "X" things that weren't considered true, while Mrs. Clinton told "Y" ?
Or did it also consider the severity of each one's false statements ?

I also wonder if this assessment includes Mrs. Clinton's appearance on Fox News Sunday on July 31 ? The Washington Post, hardly a conservative bastion, gave her 4 Pinocchio's, for her answers, the most you can get.

Clinton most Honest? LOL Bet that was a MSNBC or Rachel Maddow piece. Just as BOTH are the most despised ever BOTH are liars. Anyone who thinks Clinton is 'honest' is in major denial.

Trump is full of himself, all about himself, and reckless.

Look, there's a small chance that something can come out about Hillary to bring her down...'cause there's always such a chance until the votes are counted.

But you guys...clearly on the riiiiiiiight side...who are smashing at Clinton are....pretty much as usual...missing the point: This is not about Clinton. This is about Trump proving over and over and over that he is unqualified.

For once, please, understand the important point of the discussion. The heart of the matter.

Actually, this is about both Mrs. Clinton and Mr.Trump.

Are you trying to say Mrs. Clinton isn't full of herself ?
Perhaps I missed something, going back to when she called herself the "co president"

As far as "reckless",I think the FBI Director kind of said that when he was talking about her email scandal.

As far as being qualified,I believe Bernie Sanders said that Mrs. Clinton was unqualified to be President.

Unfortunately,in this election cycle, you have two badly flawed candidates. They are just badly flawed in different ways.
Which one is worse, depends on which side of the fence you sit on.

Hmmm...They seem badly flawed in similar ways. To cite one obvious example: Both have difficulty with demarcating fact from fiction - and in ways that are disconcerting when imagining either in the Oval Office.

I guess I should have been clearer.
You are 100% correct on both fact vs. fiction and either one being in the Oval Office.

Again, Hillary is less than perfect.

But to equate her flaws, which are somewhat typical of those of presidential nominees, with the ooobvious flaws of Trump is to be unable to discern in any way.

Yeah, Trump's total shoot from the hip and arguing with mothers of soldiers who fell in battle. That and a million other Trumpish idiosyncracy weirdnesses. Hillary's totally like that.

If you can't see that one's a clown and the other's a legit, yet imperfect, candidate...well, then tell me how wonderfully qualified Palin was, how she's totally equivalent to Joe Biden.

Have your opinions. But don't try to foist total garbage on us, please.

Palin could see Russia from Alaska so she was an expert in international politics and diplomacy.

I've seen MLB games on TV and in person so, it follows, that I could hit major league pitching.

I give you credit for trolling.

Sara Palin was,in my opinion, by far not the right choice for V.P..But she was a sitting Governor.

The "I can see Russia from my house" comment that everyone tries to use to make fun of her, was,as I'm sure you know, made by Tina Fay on SNL.
Her answer was actually quite insightful.
But hey,it wasn't as funny as Tina Fey's.

As far as Biden.
He made so many gaffs that people, including his own party, started referring to them as "Bidenisms"
He also had all kinds of issues with plagiarism. They were so bad they forced him out of the 1988 presidential race.

Despite his short comings,as the sitting V.P., he would have had a good chance to win the 2016 nomination.
He was actually ahead of Mrs. Clinton in the polls, without even announcing if he would run.

According to news stories that circulated out here in N.J.,the Clintons threatened to use the above "issues" against him and destroy his reputation if he ran against her.

Sarah Palin may have been a sitting governor. That doesn't mean she was qualified for same. Not close.

Hillary will likely be a reasonably good President. She's been a good Senator and Secy State.

Forget the attacks of Dems on Trump. Party's always attack the opposition candidate.

See the remarks/attacks on him by big-money Repubs, Repub office holders, and Repub party members. Unprecedented in modern American history.

To try to sell that he's in any way qualified, at this stage, is to try to sell that the sun rises in the west.

Get a clue.

Just because a person holds a position means that they're qualified for it (Palin, governor...Trump, candidate)?

No wonder Solich is revered despite 11 years and no MACC.

If I recall correctly, the issue of being qualified was made when the current president ran for office.

At that time his supporters said that he was qualified,by meeting the Constitutional requirements to run for the office.

They also said that, despite one of if that the thinnest resumes of any presidential candidate ever, he could "grow into the job" if elected.

What's good for the goose ....

Mrs.Clinton was a Senator and Sec. of State. But,no one seems able to identify specific things she accomplished in either position.

You are a freaking brick. You have your pre-conceived, echo-chamber notions and you won't let them go.

In contrast, I (and other rational people here) admit that Clinton is a flawed candidate (though within normal bounds for that)...AND we'd be slamming the hell out of the Dems if they'd've nominated someone like Trump.

And, it's not about there being questions about being fully qualified (as with Clinton and, perhaps as you write with Obama)--it's about being TOTALLY UNQUALIFIED.

Your inability to give up a point even in the face of overwhelming evidence is impressive though.
