I mentioned in the Miami game thread a couple of weeks ago that the Miami bench player talking crap all game wasn't going to see as many fans in a month of games in Millett than the over 9,000 he saw in the Convo that day.

Redhawk fans proved me wrong today if the ESPN.com box score from the Ball St. game at Miami can be believed with 7,736 listed.

Did anyone catch the game on ESPN+ to confirm?

You don't want to play OHIO in March in Cleveland!

Listened to the Zips vs Buffalo game on the radio where the Zips had a very poor first half with their shooting but later seemed to figure it out.

During the halftime show, when the Zips had only scored 26 the topic of the upcoming schedule for the Zips came up. "Tuesday in Toledo, then the Flashes on Friday at home than back on the road to OHIO. Cannot remember the last time we won in Toledo (sounds familiar). Then it is always tough to play Kent. Then play OHIO with an offense that is coming on strong. You don't want to play OHIO in Cleveland in March let alone in Athens where it is one of the toughest places to win."

Make it prophetic please!

Miami had a promotion for free tickets for anyone. Don't know that I buy 7,700 based on that photo, but good on them for posting a resounding win with the extra audience.

CMU had their biggest crowd of the year too. Those guys only show up for Western.

Indiana St lost again and went 0-2 in the single week they were able to have a "#23" next to their name. Oof. I feel like we can relate...every time in football or basketball we get ranked or close to ranked, we fall on our faces.

And speaking of falling on faces...Wisconsin has went from 16-4 and #6 in the country to 17-9 and possibly will be unranked here today. Looking at their schedule they could end up 19-12 and if they don't do well in the tourney, could be on the bubble. That would be something to be #6 in the country to start February and then not make the tourney.

Whisky at #6 was a joke. They beat #3 Marquette (huge in state battle) other than that their schedule has been sh**. I mean this board doesn’t even get excited with that non league schedule (minus VA).

Special Assistant to Holtmann.

Did he keep that same role with Diebler?

It's one thing to overachieve. It's another to be expected to win.

For your reading pleasure, right after Ohio got ranked in 2012 before losing four of their next five.

Expect another big-ish crowd at Miami tomorrow. Once again, their president is "buying" tickets and fans can request them for free.

Kent heads to Akron for 6pm tilt.

A Kent loss and then remaining games include against Central and Toledo--could this be a year where the Flashes don't make it to Cleveland?

Some on here had CMU locking up 3rd place a little over a week ago. Not so fast, my friends. Chips blown out saturday at Miami and losing at home tonight v. Ball St. Ohio has a shot at 3rd place.

They are a good story. I don't know that you could have anticipated the last few games but they were playing over their head. Some come down could have been expected. I was thinking Kent will upset them in the 3-6 game and the MAC final four would be Akron, Toledo, Ohio, and Kent yet again. But it is looking more likely that two of those four will probably play each other in the quarters. Kent may end up playing Toledo or Akron and they haven't locked up a spot yet.

Who do you want to win tomorrow; Central Michigan or Kent State?

Potential ramifications for the 3rd as well as the 6th spot in Cleveland.

Personally, I'd like Central to win and Western Michigan to win and perhaps have an Akron vs Kent St first rounder and another blood match!
