Vermont shot 37% from three...Toledo 18%

Can't do "Brickin' for Chicken"(tm) from deep and win a game some nights.

By the way, if I win a Chik-fil-A at the Convo, I'll give the voucher to anybody on here who wants it. I'm not driving 40 minutes for a free sandwich plus I don't go to that brand of place anyway. Obviously.

Well then... if you are local, you can have the potential coupon if it happens.

Parkersburg has an actual mall if you want to combine the trip into something. They also have a Big Sandy furniture/appliances.

Miami banks in a 40 foot three at the buzzer to beat Vermont by one. Miami looked pretty solid other than missing lots of open threes and favorable looks at the rim. Mirambeaux and their seven foot freshman center are back and playing, so I guess they have the most of their roster available they've had this season.

That mall hasn’t been the same since KB Toys left.

Stat of the week (year?). WMU got a rare win today and transfer Anthony Crump missed both of his free throw attempts. On the season, the NIU transfer has hit 5 of 33 from the line (15%). I watched WMU lose a couple of close non-conference games earlier this season that they could have won if he had hit just one, maybe two, foul shot out of multiple attempts.

How can a veteran DI player miss 28 of 33 free throws? You almost have to try not to make them.

Don't know what it means going forward, but Kent lost by 20-points at Saint Mary's ... and it looks like several key players for KSU are out/injured, and may be done for awhile.

St. Mary's beat Davidson by 34 and MTSU by 37.

Marcus Hill for BG is an absolute beast.

Averaging 20 in his first season in the MAC. Had 35 the other night. Has scored more than 25 in like 8 of 12 games.

JUCO transfer. Averaged 25 for South Union or somewhere.

We have touched on it in threads before, but why does it seem like we don’t ever take a chance on anyone in JUCO or D2? Guys that are walking buckets, avg 25+ points a game?

And Towns is averaging 6.5 rebounds. Tell me again why we kicked this kid to the curb?

Toledo rally nips Fiami at Toledo. Red Larks were up 11 at the half.

Akron is on now hosting BGSU.

UPDATE: BG has a solid first half lead at Akron

Detroit Mercy is now 0-17. At least their fans have the Pistons.

Eastern Michigan beats Kent Saturday.

Western Michigan wins at Miami and Buffalo to start MAC play 2-0.

Everyone keeps saying how bad the directionals are.

I think we are going to have problems with every single directional school in conference play.

One of those losses, the one right before the Titans' visit to Athens, was a 1-point loss at Ole Miss. The Rebels are 13-1 and ranked in the top 20.

Saw a minute or two of NC at NC St. game tonight with the volume muted when it appeared to me that the Wolfpack is playing the left-handed twin brother of Miami's Anderson Mirambeaux. Is it possible? I didn't catch his name but it looked like he had some game.

Went and watched Wisconsin vs OSU last night. Less than half full. Back 4 rows of student section bannered off. And a nice win by the Badgers.

We had a recruit from Findlay two seasons ago, and he really helped the Bobcats.

Watched the Carolina-State game too, love watching DJ Burns operate with that left hand touch.....won't find better in the game.

Problem is State's transition defense looked atrocious against Carolina, but that's not saying much.

That said.....how does Louisville go down to Miami and win? Need some help with that one.....

So who has it better, a Bobcat fan or a Flashes fan?

Thin rosters with good MAC players out for both teams.

Akron pre-Ali Ali not much to write home about and now in the drivers seat. An unhoped for injury to either Ali or Freeman and the Zips join us in their misery.

With the state of MAC basketball there is simply no depth to withstand long term injuries on any of the teams.

Full disclosure, I stormed the floor with the rest of the O Zone after a win over a pretty good (by MAC standards) WMU team in February 2005....

I think Cincinnati is bigger than storming the floor from beating #19 TCU. Even in overtime.

#15 for Dayton is a #OMGdunkr. Obi Toppin-esque.
