By the way, if it was missed, Kevin Harlan referred to the Buckeyes loss yesterday as THE Oral Roberts University defeated Ohio State (no THE). Priceless! My son suggests a tee shirt should be produced somewhere: �THE Oral Roberts University�.

I've yet to figure out how they're supposed to be configured. 3 seats per row, 5 rows deep and spanning the entire corner of the arena?

Poor walk-ons are stuck running bleachers for the whole game.

But the enforcement appears to be non-existent (thankfully) as other times you see guys standing together shoulder to shoulder or holding hands etc.

It's all optics for NCAA and virtue signalling IMO. "You must wear a mask and social distance while on the sidelines!" Don't worry about the times on the court where you're breathing, sweating and touching each other. Or during timeouts. Or in the locker room. Or the showers. Or on the bus. Or in your dorms/hotel rooms. Or when you're all eating together. Or lifting weights. No no, look over here! Shiny object!

The "Tournament Central" on TruTV was awful. Yes, VCU bowing out is a big story, but the defending national champs losing in the first round to a 13 seed should at least get 30 seconds worth of airtime. They spent the entire halftime show and all of the between-game show on VCU, a 10 seed with little or no chance of getting past the second round, even without covid. Also, Ernie Johnson is terrible. I wonder what dirt he has on the TBS management to keep employed.

If I were a VCU fan, I'd feel like dying upon hearing the news.

I've since turned off the game and moved to Abilene/Texas, but Norfolk State was getting pretty dirty against Gonzaga.

Also forgot to mention last night, but I really liked the vibe from the North Texas coach. Just a complete positive energy. If I were a recruit with a UNT offer, I'd give them a little extra consideration.

Talking about the Dayton Marriott and the OHSAA tourney.... VCU and the A10 refs stayed there including Roger Ayres who was one of the 6 refs removed from the NCAA tourney

"The hotel was packed," a source told CBS Sports. "They had some sort of other tournament there. People not adhering to protocols, walking through the hotel and lobby without masks.
"There were kids, parents and people with differences of opinion [about COVID-19] and the hotel staff -- I witnessed the ladies at the check-in yelling to people walking through the lobby about putting their masks on."
