Hopefully Coach Holtmann convinces him to play some in state schools home and home for the benefit of the fans, who clearly want that. The fan mentioned that they occasionally play a MAC school but he would like to play Dayton, Cincinnati or Xavier in the future. Holtman asked if the fans in attendance if they wanted those 3 teams on the schedule. There was loud applause. He basically said he would do what he could to play one of them each year. He did mention the Indiana Classic where Indian, Purdue, Notre dame and Butler play one Saturday each year. Holtman mentioned that might be something that could happen in the future with 4 Ohio schools. I do think that Ohio State plays Miami Ohio this year on Dec.30. Well, of course not! The season ticket holders in Columbus weren't talking about the minor league MAC when they were clamoring for an upgraded non conference schedule... Maybe Chris will schedule a MAC team once every 2-3 years. Maybe.
