Dambrot indicates that we are the strangest team. "We are good for 4 minutes and then we are the worst team in America for the next four minutes"  This may be somewhat factual, but TODAY, it is time for the Bobcats to continue to kick his butt for 40 minutes.  Continue the streak.  OZONE really has to get on his butt.
THE PANDA IS NOW FIRED UP!!

to finish his quote

''The lesson to be learned from that is, if you get down 15, don't panic, don't chase. Just be solid, and they will let you back in it.''

If they get down 15 in the convo on senior night, tommy and Devaughn are not going to let them come back.

I really don't get why he would go on record with this statement.

He didn't give us enough bulletin board material last time.

I mean, he's bringing the beatdown they're about to receive on himself.  I don't care what stats say about tonight, we will NOT let Akron come into our house and beat us on senior night.  Put the foot to their throat early and don't let up until the buzzer sounds and Winning Team/Losing Team has been complete.

Man, I'm jacked.  8 hours to go...

It doesn't bother me that Dambrot said that stuff.  At least he's telling people what he really thinks and is not just spewing out "coach speak".

We just have to prove him wrong in this contest tonight.  Gotta admit, we have shown those tendencies he refers to in some games this year; now's the time to demonstrate that's all in the past.

The players are well aware of his words.

The only problem I have with it is he using "good" to describe the high end, and "worst team in America" to describe the low end.  If he had said "They're the best team in the country for one 4 minute stretch, then the worst team in the country the next 4 minute stretch"...I could see where he is coming from there.

Simple.  He wants negative perceptions of Ohio University's basketball program in the media and floating around college basketball.  And, he's attempting to get in our players heads.  Get them emotional.

Hopefully between the free kiser's, green fever, senior night/last home game of the season, and now this nonsense, we can get enough people in the convo tonight to get a similar atmosphere as the Fiami game, this time with a better outcome.

Can someone tell me more about these BBQ sandwiches and how can I be sure my family can only score 1 of these?

I pulled up "Welcome to the Jungle" on Youtube two hours ago and have probably hit replay 15 times.

I'm getting a pregame haircut in a bit, praying I don't have an adrenaline rush when I jump in the chair causing me to say "Boosie fade," after OUr star point guard.

I've seen crazier things happen.

I could see it if he said something like "When the chips are on the line they really tense up particularly at the free throw line."  But what he said is about effort. This is the kind of bulletin board material that can do nothing to help your team.  If anything it just gives Groce better traction when he is stressing 40 minutes of effort from the kids.

You really want to kick it into gear?

Really wish I could be in the Convo for this one. I do plan on being on Oxford on Friday though. I don't know how I will function during the rest of the work day. Doesn't help that I had about 12 ounces of coffee at lunch. I would expect around 6500 - 7000 tonight, probably almost as raucous as it has been in recent memory. I remember the Akron game in 06-07 (The Tillman double alley-oop game) was about as wild of an O-Zone from start to finish as ever. Didn't get a chance to attend the Akron game in 05-06, a midweek game towards the beginning of the season, but I'm told that one was wild, too.

Jealous. Spending five hours in class between 9a and 4p sucks in comparison.

Hey, at least you're being productive.  I've been out of class for two hours and all I've done is pace in my room watching highlight videos, trying to pass the time.

My feelings are hurt.

But seriously, Dambrot is a prick.  It makes me happy when we beat him, but then 10 minutes later I just become angry again when he starts whining in the postgame presser.

Good points, Jeff.  I agree that he is just being factual.  That's the way we've been all year.  Others would call it a lack of a killer instinct.  What he didn't say was that we also can't be counted out if we are behind by 20 points at half.  You never know when the "Good Cat" team will replace the "Bad Cat" team, or vice versa.  Yes, let's play TWO good halves this game.  If we do, I think Akron will be buried!

Dambrot has Ohio right where he wants it at the under-4 minute time out with Ohio up 18 points.

The problem is that coach KD didn't explain to his players what to do when they got down 30!
