Where do the folks who write this stuff go to college? I'm not sure which is worse, this or political bios.

saturday nites are slow eh? duels and embellishments? LOL

Agreed the SID's have a special way of crafting their words and bios.

surprised they missed putting in something like "Coach Christian is one of the very few coaches to appear in all 4 post season tourneys placing teams in the NCAA, NIT, CIT and CBI." Hit for the cycle didn't he?

It is an art form to give every coach, asst coach, trainer, strength coach, GA, video co ordinator et al credit for everything good and every player accomplishment that happened to a ball club

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

That's funny Tom. Guys our age often think of strange things at strange hours. In reality I was watching my friend James Jones and his guys pull out a win over Penn and started checking out east coast results this year and came upon our boy jc. You're right, SIDs come up with some funny statements. Our own guys have a new one for football - six times in a row bowl eligible even though we didn't make a bowl this year. Is America really that stupid?

I watched UIUC then the post game special on the Flying Illini as I had watched most of those guys in HS in Chicago in the 80's. Flipping back and forth with Boise and several other games. Saturdays this season have been huge. Depaul was hanging around Butler today...Nova, UK, Western KY all on tv today . Ran to trader joes and brunch with my kid in Indy early in order to get home in time to watch. First solo trip down to Indy. Baby steps. Still using handicap parking to minimize distance. Going to try to get to Athens friday to use my tics at least once this year.

It's a little tiresome, isn't it? My favorite was the one about being both a football bowl team and a Sweet 16 basketball team. True enough, but launching ourselves into BIG / PAC 12 / ACC territory for a season was a little optimistic, especially considering all the basketball powers that don't even field FBS teams.

Yes.

Don't put this over on the football board. You'll be lambasted for not believing in the God known as Frank Solich.
