I don't think that there's any truth about the height of the chapel versus anything else. I do know for a fact that it had to be built on that exact location, which is not where the University officials wanted it, because Mr. G. was giving the money and that was the location where he was introduced to the woman who later became his first wife as she was walking across campus as a student. He basically said here's the money to build the chapel, but it must be built right here, or you don't get the money. Needless to say it was built where he wanted.
