I know I'm an old guy. In my day, everyone on the team wore the same shoes (let alone the same socks) and I know that's a thing of the past. I understand that. But is Bean really wearing shoes with a significant amount of red trim? WTF? If he played for Fiami would he wear shoes with green trim?

I want Bean to excel - I know he has it in him - on D and O. The FGCU guards made him look frozen - turned on/around him quickly off the pass and dribble way too many times from what I saw last game.

I think there are more than Bean the last 4 years wearing shoes other than team issue. Most have been smart enough to get them in non contrasting colors. The latest and greatest may not come in green, black or white. For some of these kids it is very improtant to have the latest offerings rather than wear team shoes....others ....in my professional experience, may have a condition that precludes them from wearing the actual team shoe.
