Ladies open tonight at Murray State

Looking forward to step two in the Bob Boldon era. We'll see how much improvement a very young team can make in one year. They're picked 4th in the East, but with a promising frosh, and a Michigan State transfer who sat out last year, and practically the whole team returning, there's reason to be optimistic about the season.

Wow! Was following along with the scores announced at the volleyball game. Murray State doesn't appear to be very good, but still...perhaps there is some hope for this season. Unbelievable box score.

Opened with 6 straight 3-pointers, went on a 27-0 run, hit 18 of 37 3balls. Even if Murray isn't very good, that's not bad at all.

Way too early projection: Core group here is strong, young. Boldon is on track. MAC title in sight down the line.

Pounded Wofford in the home opener, 84-37.

Seems any of three possibs...and likely all: 1) a lot more talent on hand for the ladies this year....2) Boldon can coach....3) Wofford not so good.

Will be interesting to follow this grOUp.

Last year, this was essentially a team of freshman and sophomores learning a new system, Mo. The defense is pretty good under Bolden's approach and the outside shooting is impressive. The score last night would have approached 100 if not for a flurry of missed layups.
They won't be undefeated but they will be trouble for anyone they play, plus they'll be fun to watch. Pretty good crowd last night, too, in spite of a blustery evening.

Keep in mind the disparity in ladies ball is much much greater than men's. Top tier teams are WAY better than mid tier teams are WAY better than bottom tier teams. The OOC schedule looks pretty light, I'm looking forward to seeing them against some tougher opponents.

understood, but wins period have not been a common occurrence for our lady Bobcats so large wins are a surprise.
