Did I see it correctly that we didn't have a single guy on the top 3 teams? Buffalo has four guys on the All-League team? Ringo makes Third Team? What a joke. I get that we weren't very good but Laster deserved to be a Third Team guy at least. Awful. I want the voter names. We always get screwed!

I agree, how does Wes Clark make it? He didn't even play half of the year.

He started 21 games, 8 fewer than Dartis. Looking over the other guards on the 3rd team, who would you guys have moved out of there and put Dartis in their place?

Jordan Dartis (13.1 PPG, 2.1 APG, 3.6 RPG, 1.2 SPG)
Wes Clark (14.8 PPG, 5.4 APG, 3.3 RPG, 1.2 SPG)
Jaylin Walker (16.6 PPG, 2.1 APG, 3.8 RPG, 1.1 SPG)
Darrian Ringo ( 9.5 PPG, 7.1 APG, 3.5 RPG, 2.8 SPG)

I would say that both Clark and Ringo do not deserve to be in above Dartis. I would actually say that Dartis doesn't deserve to be above Dartis -- Mike Laster does. This league will thrive when its seniors are repping it and Mike is one of those guys who deserved to be honored with his play and his dedication to the Bobcats, to the MAC and for his warrior-like play (I know Dartis was too) but Mike seemed to be more consistent. I would also put Sabande above Ringo. Ringo is solid but Sabande is clearly going to be a star while Ringo is a solid facilitator. Clark should not have been rewarded for half a season after transferring in for one year.

Didn't see any posts about the women and their MAC Postseason Award honorees... Cece Hooks was named MAC Freshman of the Year, All-Defensive team, All-MAC Third team and All-MAC Freshman team.

Joining her on the Freshman team was Gabby Burris. Both had tremendous seasons in their first year.

Just wanted some on the board to know.

Which MAC returning player not on any of the all-MAC teams (who played this year, so not Jason Carter) has the brightest future? I have someone in mind, but I'd like to hear what others have to say first.

No one bit, but here goes. Mark it down. CMU soph Kevin McKay, a Rick Fox look-alike, will be a star in this conference. Didn't start a game this year, but really impressed me in person in the Convo a few weeks ago and seeing him a few times on ESPN3. More than once in the Convo, he took his Bobcat defender out past the 3-point arc, then blew by him off the dribble for an easy layup or and-one.

Appreciate it. Future looks pretty good. Hope they keep that recruiting strong. In a really strong MAC with Buffalo and CMU up top that is quite a showing to grab those 2 spots.

They were both a pleasure to watch develop this year and the future is certainly bright. My only hope for Boldon Ball is that we have a big or two coming in. I felt like this year, teams with size really gave us fits. We need another Jasmine Weatherspoon-type player to help on the boards and with interior defense (in my humble opinion).

Three straight years with All-MAC freshman team players. Dartis. Carter. Kirk. Can't wait to see them on the court together. Should create some problems for defenses and opportunities for each other and Taylor/Gollon/Block/etc.

(And hopefully McMurray keeps that train going.)

(Is optimism allowed?)

Optimism is allowed, but it is highly frowned upon by many here.

Does a 6'1 Forward whose dad played in the NBA, and a 6'2 Russian work? Haha

Unfortunately, the "G" word is happening to me, too.
As for the future, if anyone has a crystal ball, I'd greatly appreciate a "look", lol.

Sounds like the G word needs to be "grad school." If you're not back next season, you'll be sorely missed!

Really solid pedigrees. Those are some good genes and some good backgrounds.

I respect Mike but disagree with you. Carter's injury was reason #1 we struggled this year but I'd argue Laster not meeting expectations was #2. He had such great opportune positioning last year and hit the mid-range shot so well to go with a solid 3 point percentage. He finished really strong and I at least I had high hopes for him as a more regular player but it just didn't go as well this year. Maybe some of it was supporting cast related.

Maybe more of it was that pesky shoulder that took a big chunk out of the middle of the season

Before he hurt his shoulder, he was scoring 20+ regularly.
