If true? Should we let them play until the issue is settled.

THE ITEMS THEY ARE ACCUSED OF SELLING ARE NOT ILLEGAL IN THE STATE OF OHIO. DOES THIS MATTER TO ANYONE WHO CAN THINK OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL RAMIFICATIONS. THERE HAS NEVER EVEN BEEN A STATE LEVEL PROSECUTION OF THIS TYPE OF CHARGE. DO YOUR RESEARCH. AND LARENZO AND GREG ARE NOT THUGS, CRIMINALS...VERY RESPECTABLE YOUNG MEN. PLEASE DONT JUMP THE GUN ON THEIR LIVES OHIO FANS.

That's what I find, the DEA classification of Schedule I which has no legal uses.  Now there are tons of versions based on the chemicials that the drug is made, with.  But this twitter and BA push stating they were arrested for a legal substance, and yet they will not tell us what that legal substance is does not jive.

A quick search of Ohio Revised Code lists MDMA as a schedule I drug, which is illegal.

I don't doubt that Larenzo and Greg are not "thugs." But if they were in fact selling this drug, then they've made a big mistake.

Are they accused of selling Molly or the ingredients to make Molly?

Yes.  Ecstasy/Molly/MDMA.  I find it hard to believe dealing that drug wouldn't be illegal, or the police would arrest someone for it if it were not illegal.

I'll never be able to understand why people make these type of decisions.

According to media reports and releases from the Prosecutors office, yes they are charged with MDMA.

And the one young man is already suspended for assault back in May.

I remember a few years back when something like this was announced the morning of the BGSU home game and the result was not good.
This year we have a few days to process this news before the game and we certainly have a different team.
While concerning I believe this will have little impact.
This years TEAM is A TEAM and they are all on the same page, that what these 2 players did is detrimental to THE TEAM, and not acceptable. This is why I believe this situation will  have no impact on THE TEAM.

The Dispatch story that ran the morning of the BG game in '06 was pretty damning about the overall discipline problems of the team, ranging from the arrests of several players to Solich's own off-season DUI arrest. The immediate impact was a sad showing in a loss to BG; the long-term impact though was to instill an "us vs. them" attitude in the team that resulted in a 7-1 MAC record and the first trip to the MACC game.  I agree that this probably won't do much to the team, positive or negative.  It only involves two players, so it's really limited.  Neither was scheduled to play this week (Fisher was already suspended and Windham was at best the #3 QB), so it's not like there has to be a last-minute reshuffling of personnel.  Having one arrest occur at Peden may have been a disruption yesterday, but I'm sure that's pretty much gone today.  Any long-term effects would likely come from how this plays in the media, which could in fact result in the same kind of solidarity that developed in '06.

So, I heard from my neighbor, whose cousin works at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility as a case worker, who heard from another case worker whose brother is part of the Ohio-Kentucky Joint Drug Enforcement Task Force, that the timing of this arrest was done on purpose to flush out the true mastermind of this drug ring....

And the reason that they think this will flush him out is that they have REALLY good evidence that the guy pulling the strings on THIS WHOLE OPERATION is not associated with the Ohio football program, but is associated with LOUISVILLE'S!!! And isn't just associated, but PLAYS FOR THE TEAM!!! And doesn't just play for the team but....this is going to blow your mind....is Teddy Heisman himself!!!!

You see, Teddy's been setting this up for months. He knew Ohio's defensive backfield was better than any film could show because so many players were returning from injury. He KNOWS he is going to blow his chances at a Heisman trophy and #1 overall draft pick if he faces the Bobcat D when they are at full strength. So, he builds this entire Molly distribution network under the guise of an Avon sales opportunity, gets Fisher involved (Windham was just in the wrong place at the wrong time), and BOOM! the Bobcats have some uncertainty in the secondary.

Law Enforcement knows this, and they arrested Fisher and Windham yesterday PURPOSEFULLY to shake out Teddy and see if he does something stupid, like run, since this light is going to be shining all over the place in the lead up to the game. But Teddy knows that he has to play it cool or he's busted, and Law Enforcement knows that he knows that he has to play it cool or he's busted. So, in a plea deal with Fisher and Windham, what they have arranged is for a DEA agent to be inside the Rufus costume at the start of the game on Sunday. When Louisville takes the field, Rufus will pounce.

Allegedly.

I'm only telling you guys this so you know to load up on the Bobcats +21.

At this point, what Ohio fans think or don't think is the least of their worries. They are charged with felonies. If convicted, it will have serious consequences on them for the rest of their lives. If charges are dropped, or they are acquitted, Ohio fans will accept that, and move on. If it ends up somewhere in the middle, with a plea bargain for a misdemeanor, we'll just have to see how it plays out.  Ohio has a code that specifies exactly what the consequences will be (suspensions, kicked off the team, kicked out of school, etc.). The rules are firm, but fair.

This is suspiciously close to the plot of Hardy Boys Case No. 95: Illegal Procedure in which Joe goes undercover as a punt returner for the San Diego Sharks. However this one had a sniper in the stadium ready to take out Frank at any second during a game, so I give the edge to the Hardy Boys.

Molly will oftentimes have cocaine or even meth in it, so yeah, it's definitely illegal. I know people who have done it

The most tragic aspect of this is the impact on Fisher's young daughter. We need to keep her in our prayers as she is an innocent victim.

That just just makes it so much sadder that someone would do something so stupid as piss away a free ride to college.
