Not much to say about our performance on the field today.  But you guys were awesome as usual.  The 110 gives Peden the best atmosphere in the MAC.  Your energy and enthusiasm is contagious.  If only both sides could feed off it.  Best band in the land!  BTW, I love Led Zeppelin's 'Immigrant Song' during kick-offs.

I drove 3 hours to watch bad football and froze my butt off, but you guys made it worth it.  The 110 is a good reminder why I love this school.  Thank you and go Bobcats!

I'll tell ya where we'll go. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talkin' bout a little place called... ATHENS.

Agreed!

Tonight was a great atmosphere at the start - tons of students, very loud, 110 at its finest. A postcard perfect sort of night. Then, that little thing call "the game" started.

That aside, though, I would say tonight was far and away the best mid-week crowd we've every had. Students were out in full force, and much more in the way of families and "locals" than I expected.

And in case you haven't heard, the 110 will be performing at the Ohio Theater in Columbus this Monday night (11/12).

We will get by.

Yes, but about half of the students, or more, left early in the 3rd quarter when the game was still winnable.  We have a LONG way to go to install school spirit in some of these dudes and dudettes.  I for the life of me can't figure out why you would go to a game of this magnitude, cheer loudly  in the first half, and then exit stage left as soon as the band's halftime show ended.  This exodus has happened in nearly every game in the last few decades, with rare exception.  The exceptions that I can remember right off the top of my head are the famous Pitt game during Frank Year 1, a game against Toledo in Frank Year 2 or 3 (TU was ranked), the Iowa State game in Knorr Dark Ages Year 1, and the Akron game a few years ago when we clinched the MAC East for the first time.  That latter game was a cold weekday night game. It was declared a "White Out."  We had a good turn out of students -- maybe close to three quarters of the student stands were filled.  A vast majority of the students were wearing white.  Virtually nobody left a halftime, and they stayed until the game was decided late in the 4th Qt.  Personally, I'd rather have that kind of a crowd than a full-house for the first half that dwindles down to just a few thousand in the second half.

Sorry Cat Fan but give the students credit, they knew that the game that you said could be won was actually decided when on third and long BG ran for a first down and scored moments later.  Why stick around when you could knock down a few pints instead?

The fans did not leave after the half show--that is an improvement and likely many  would have stayed if Ohio showed them a reason to do so.  They came, they saw, they stayed long enough.

The most memorable 110 moment this season was IMO:  Post game for the Homecoming Game.  The remaining fans packed the adult stands with more fans than 8-10 MAC teams have had in attendance at any game this season.

BG was my first game in Peden since 2011.  But, thank you internet, I've watched every game for the past 5-6 years.

The 110 sounded terrific, better than I've ever seen/heard.

OCF, I disagree with your take on the students.  That side was 88% full (wish it had been 100+) and not that many left after halftime.  Well into the fourth quarter, there were a lot of students left.  And those that were there were cheering.

Given the way the game went, the old way would have been for not so much attendance, little cheering and a massive exodus after the 110 played at halftime.  Wasn't that way; the students did their job.

I think a corner has been turned.

Where's the band?!
WHERE"S THE BAND?!

Monroe and Monroe's Classmate: I hope your observations re: student fans are correct and mine are wrong.

Love the 110.  And their Party Rock Anthem and Gangnam Style renditions are hits globally.

The 110 and journalism/communications/campus experience are perhaps the three strongest parts of the Ohio brand.

I'm making a donation to the 110 uniform fund after I send this!

In the past the O'Bleness Foundation has been the primary donor for such drives.  Are they supporting uniform funding this time? BTW, this foundation is not connected with the hospital of the same name, though named after the same person -- Charles G. O'Bleness, local banker and manager of Ohio's first football team.  Charles' brother Ralph was QB in the late 1890s and died as a result of an injury sustained in practice prior to a game with WVU.
