The bowl will no longer be called the Independence Bowl. Starting now, it will be simply called the Advocare bowl.

I always wondered if they were celebrating independence day of july 4, 1776 or january 26 1861.

Pretty sure it was the former; the latter didn't last very long and ended in infamy, Lost Cause mythology notwithstanding.
