I saw a comment somewhere this morning that Fiami is moving to an option offense this season, and Squawk Talk seems to confirm. Ummm....don't you need (1) RBs and (2) an OL to run the option? Not that I will be complaining about a trainwreck Fiami offense....

Option-option (like, triple option), or spread/read option?

The title of this thread is literally true:  redhawk = offensive, offending.

It is also an oxymoron in the football sense.

By the way, there seems to be thought that their Dysert is a solid pro prospect.  I didn't watch him specifically vs. us, but I've never been particularly impressed by their quarterbacking.  If their qb wasn't lighting it up against our recent versions of this-is-not-a-pass-rush, then I don't get it.

CBS has him as the 10th best QB prospect.  He could go in the 4th or 5th round.

Here is the Squawk Talk thread. It sounds like it's the option-option. And a Dayton Daily News article about their scrimmage Saturday had Boucher with 19 carries (out of 74 total plays) for 45 yards

They mentioned him as a pro prospect on Bishop and Rothman on The Fan in Columbus last week, too. I don't get it.

It's most likely because he broke R'burger's yardage record at Fiami.  Certainly wasn't his W-L record.

Dysert is on the front page of ESPN.com for Gruden's QB Camp.

So, Miami is going to a triple-option attack and we're running a high-flying pass offense behind a record-setting QB and a slew of talented receivers? It's like they've become us, and we've become them. What in the name of Lonche Thrash is going on?

I wish Miami had a better team this year than they do. Their OOC schedule is Marshall, Kentucky, Illinois and Cincinnati. A good MAC team could go 4-0 and make some decent noise with that schedule. It's darn near perfect, a shame Fiami will Muck it up.

The head coach doesn't want them doing squats. I can't even add to that.

Is there anything else? Leg press or sled work?  I remember when the bench press fell out of favor for fb yet the NFL Combine still has it as a primary event.

Maybe he said "You guys can't do squat!"

My guess is because the bench press draws eyes. I've had a number of knowledgeable people tell me the bench press tells you little about how strong someone is. People still like to see it, though.
