Fellow Bobcats,

I am going to be purchasing season tickets for the first time this year, and I need some advice on which ones to get.  Truthfully, not sure how many games I will be attending (3 hour drive, plus high school athletic games that I work/coach - not an excuse, just the reasoning). But I still wanted to donate money, and get something in return.  If it at least gaurantees me homecoming tickets, I'll be happy enough.

So, do any of you have any suggestions on where I should get seats/what plan i should get?

Thanks in advance!

I've variously had Reserved seats, Philips Club seats and Tower Club seats over the last 20 years or so.  The Philips section is by far my favorite place to be.  You're close to the action, you get an entirely unique perspective on the game (hearing coaches and players) and the fans there are generally into it completely (though not all).  Access is easy, coming and going, and the seats themselves, with backs and legroom are just more comfortable.

The seat "contribution" is less than the Tower and, maybe, less than the Touchdown Club(?).   If you really are planning to make a contribution with the tickets anyway,  I highly recommend it on all counts.

If the MAC ever allows our benches back on the press box side, it will be even better (again).

If you can't make games, I would also encourage you to hook up with a Athens organization to donate the tickets to: Big Brothers Big Sisters.  I think this would be a great idea for all of the fans that don't use tickets.

Season tickets at any level/section are a great value. You really have to look at what your preference is as far as seat location. If you're interested in a couple locations, I'd use the Spring Game as a chance to check them out. Can give you a feel of what the seats are like during "live" action.

Personally, I think the Champions Club seats are waaay too close together. I probably would write those off...but that's just me. Haven't heard many positive comments about them, though.

Phillips Club is very close to the action, and you really do feel like you're on the sideline. Seats seem pretty comfortable too, but I've only sat down there on rare occasions - usually just visiting at halftime. A lot of "football junkies" down there, I'd say. A great value for the money, in my opinion.

Tower Club is my section, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. But, it's not for everyone. You can feel a bit removed from the action at times...and, yes, there are those more "sedate" fans who may give you a strange look when you stand up and cheer. But for the most part, it's a fun bunch of very loyal and intense Bobcats. Most have had seats in the same locations for years, so it's hard to get the prime seats (between the 40's). But there are likely some pockets open between the 20-40 yard lines.
