I think the bowl win really helped to get this game spotlighted. If we had lost, a lot of the luster would've been gone. We might've seen something like ULM-Oklahoma or Purdue-Cincy moved to Sunday. I'm surprised BTN hasn't moved a game into the Sunday noon or 1 pm slot. NIU-Iowa would be a good one, if ESPN doesn't pick it up.

I used to work with Zac at Campus Rec during his time ot Ohio. Better writer than a flag football official.

Its amazing to think how far our program has evolved to the point where we can command 4-5 games on ESPN every year. There are some schools in BCS conferences that don't even get that level of exposure. The way all those BCS schools built huge fan support was by being on TV every week across the state. Now that the networks almost exclusively control TV packages under a national format it makes it harder for the second tier BCS programs sometimes to get into peoples homes. That is what is nice about the MAC's midweek TV deal. There is little competition from other conferences on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
