There is some nice footage of the Defensive linemen in drills on Arkley's blog. A big determinant of how Ohio's season goes will be determined by how quickly the defensive line comes together. With guys like Huynh, Carl Jones, and Tremayne Scott gone, the defensive line coach will be earning his pay this year. There are a lot of new faces, including two Juco's (McLeod, Tautuaiki), and a load of freshmen (Aloese, Porter, Sayles, Smart, and Bashum).

After watching these drills, I see some real quickness out there. Big guys like McLeod, Tautuiaki, and Purdum show they have some quickness despite toting ~290 lb, and the DEs are even quicker. I think this group is going to just fine, and by the end of the year the d-line will be a strength. They need to get good fast, though.

You beat me to it L.C.

That drill vid shows the 290 pound plus newcomers Tautauaki....probably misspelled that one.....and McCloud (there can be only one) lookin like 220 pound OLB's.

My favorite part was Crutch hittin the dummy....if he hits someone  like that in the open field it could be that the dude who  got hit needs help off the field time.  He is The Kraaken....Release The Kraaken.

I still have etched in my memory during the Pitt game the Blades kid from Pitt (dad was a pro) who got blocked so hard that  they had to toe drag his arse off the field.....he started with the 2 guys on his side and him with wobbly knees...but the last 20 yards to the sideline was toe drag city.

Great news.  Also love to see that Tettleton incorporated the pump fake.
