Here's the SOS for each of the MAC teams, based on last season's records. I've put them in order based on the MAC SOS. It almost matches the predicted orders of the teams in each division; the team with the toughest SOS should finish last and the one with easiest SOS should finish first. Kent and UMass are the obvious glitch in the East. Akron's 12 opponents were 76-39 last year; any wonder most everybody has them struggling to get more than one win this season?

That is simply not good. Throw in one extra home game and that could be an OSU schedule.

Not that it matters much, but I realized that the total SOS in the chart didn't reflect MAC opponents' OOC games. Here are the totals including those games:

East: Akron 97-58, Buffalo 80-65, UMass 82-70, Kent 77-73, Fiami 69-82, BG 66-78, Ohio 60-88.
West: EMU 88-63, Toledo 82-71, WMU 77-75, CMU 75-77, BSU 69-82, NIU 62-88.
