Bold Predictions Thread

I'm bored. Work sucks. Seems like a good time to speculate wildly about things other than wins and losses.

Bold Player Prediction: Blankenship breaks McRae's single season TD record (19).
Bold Team Prediction: By year's end, the defense will be better than the offense.
Bold Conference Prediction: BG finishes behind Buffalo in the East (An offensively challenged team that has to replace its leading rusher and hasn't decided on a starting QB 2 weeks before the season starts [EDIT: Schilz was named the starter today. Doesn't change the larger point, since it appears he is on a short leash.] is going to win the division? No.)
Bold National Prediction: An SEC team does not make the BCSNCG.

Bold Player Prediction: Daz Patterson will have three special teams touchdowns.
Bold Team Prediction: We will be top five in the country in turnover margin.
Bold Conference Prediction: I have two. Akron will blow out an FBS team and win a road game. Ball State will win the West.
Bold National Prediction: Northwestern wins the Big 10.

This looks fun.

Bold Player Prediction (generic): At least one player makes an All-American team
Bold Player Prediction (specific): Travis Carrie plays great enough that his draft stock is mentioned in the first two rounds
Bold Team Prediction: Ranked in the top 25 at some point in the season
Bold Conference Prediction: At least three teams are ranked at some point in the season, our conference outperforms CUSA and AAC in the season.
Bold National Prediction: Notre Dame will not play in a bowl game a season after being in the national championship game

Bold Player Prediction: Keith Moore has an outstanding year and gets drafted to the NFL.
Bold Team Prediction: Ohio wins the MAC Championship and Frank Solich retires.
Bold Conference Prediction: A MAC player will finish in the top 5 of the Heisman voting.
Bold National Prediction: Auburn will ruin someone's National Championship hopes.
