This thread is purely for speculation. The question is this: Which Ohio players have legitimate chances of being drafted at the end of this season, and in which round?

My projections:

Travis Carrie: 4th
Donte Foster: 7th
Beau Blank:   7th-FA

You know what Frank Solich likes most about coaching in the MAC? While he gets older, his coaching competition stays the same age, man.

I agree that Carrie would be the first choice, but I think Lechner is also possible for a late round pick. Tettleton most likely would get a FA deal, and Jon Prior as well. There are a lot of very good seniors this year, and some others, with a great year, could get some interest, including Sam Johnson, Keith Moore, Troy HIll and Ryan McGrath. My prediction is that Ohio ends with a record number of players getting at least some form of tryout deal this year.

I should include my FA picks, but I was looking more towards the actual draft. Any thoughts on Foster?

So much depends on how this year goes. With an outstanding year, Blankenship, Prior, Lechner, or Foster could work up to a late round pick, but it will take great years from them.

I am not sure on the TT with a free agent deal. I think he is a solid QB for us, and has a lot of intangibles, but lacks NFL arm strength (especially with the larger NFL ball), and really just does not fit the mold.

Carrie could be a high pick, word before he got hurt last year was he was the best DB in the Midwest.

I think we'll have to wait until seeing him this year without the throwing hand/rib injuries to judge his arm accurately. Both those would have effected his deep throw. I think he'll at least be at a camp, could play in Canada or AFL. Carrie could go as high as 2nd round IMO, depends on how he looks this year

TT will also have his height working against him. Canada may be a better shot for him. We'll just have to see how the season goes.

Carrie
Lechner
Moore
Blankenship
Prior
Hill

If they get drafted, that's the order it will be in.

??? To the best of my knowledge the college and nfl balls are identical in size and weight. the only difference being the  half-stripe
