You are 100 miles from Louisville!  I-71 South and take the by-pass to the stadium. Game watch in Cincy? Give me a break.

Not everyone has the luxury of going to a game. Also, some people would rather prefer not paying for a ticket and making the drive when they can watch with other Bobcats at a bar or at home.

Our team can't hear you from the bar in Cincy.  Car pool, scarf up some nosebleeds, you will be very sorry if we upset them. Don't blame me for not warning you.

Seriously?

I get modern media, it's power and convenience.  But if you think that in any way comes close to the heartbeat thrill and ability to see all of the action of being at a live game, then you need to re-set.

Especially for football.  Being there live let's you see so much more than the limited, follow-the-ball view of broadcast video.  You can see as a play develops whether the running back is gonna break one or the qb has a wide open receiver for a long gainer, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Watching with Bobcat fans in a bar or at home--good.
Watching live there with Bobcat fans--incredible.

You could live 2600 miles away and rarely have this chance (price, time) or you can live a couple hours away and take advantage of this fine opportunity.

Yes, I'm serious. People have lives that don't revolve around going to football games in person. I'm going to the game, so I'm not in this boat. I just think it's silly to think that everyone in the city of Cincinnati who is a Bobcat fan or alumnus should go to the game. Providing a game watch is a great idea.

And Monroe, I agree 100% with your post about the atmosophere of the game and being there in person is waaaaayyy much better. All I am saying is, sometimes people can't go and some people don't like crowds or the inconvenience of driving to a game.

Why is it necessary to blast those that aren't going to the Game?  Did we do this last year for the folks in NE Ohio that didn't drive to PSU?  Some of us drive everywhere to watch the Cats, and some of us can't afford to drive to every road game.  At least those at the Gamewatch won't be supporting Ohio A&M.

No doubt being there is better, no doubt being there is more expensive. However, whether you're watching it from 2600 miles away, or a tavern across the street from the stadium, the more people that treat Bobcat Football as an event that is not to be missed, the better.
