The last four seasons they've beaten Kansas, Minnesota, Colo St and defending Big Twelv champ Kansas St.  The last three seasons they were 9-5, 14-1 & 14-1.  Damn sight better than most of the other teams moving up.

Not sure why they would want to. They play a BCS school every year, usually beat them, win national championships, don't have to pay for 85 schollies, just 65 I believe. The MAC wouldn't necessarily be a step up.

Do you really want to travel all the way to N. Dakota every other year?

The opposing team sucks!

They'd be in the West so we'd only have to go there every 4 to 6 years.

Ohio does have some ties to NDSU, by the way. The head coach there is none other than Craig Bohl, the man Frank Solich initially hired his defensive coordinator, but fired after is bad 7-7 season in 2002. One thing that is clear to me is that Solich has a good eye when it comes to picking assistants. Bohl was a good coach, but had some issues during his time at Nebraska, and when he got a second chance at NDSU, he has taken advantage of it. The guy Solich replaced Bohl with, Bo Pelini, was no slouch, either.

When Solich hired his initial staff at Ohio, he tapped into the NDSU coaching staff, too, hiring Tim Albin and Jimmy Burrow from there.

Does Northern Illinois, Ball State Toledo and directional Michigan want to travel to North Dakota every other year?

MAC should try to get Army..

No to Army. No offense to our service members, but they are terrible.

I think Army could turn it around in the MAC. Temple did.

I have no interest in NDSU however if they are replacing EMU (aka the commuter college in the shadow of the big house that draws less fans than my D-2 Ohio high school) then sign me up.

Ideally, we bring UMass on full time and bring Temple back. Also I am partial to Illinois State and Delaware.

I've seen crazier things happen.

Money wise the MAC needs to be at 12 or less. There is not a bunch of revenue in this conference and many do not pull their weight.

12 to keep the conference Championship game I guess. but seriously wouldn't Ohio, Miami, BG, Toledo, Central, Western and Northern be better off if EMU, Ball State, Kent, Akron, Buffalo and Umass went to FCS. Maybe keep one or two of them to stay at 8 or 9.

From a football standpoint I'd agree with EMU and Akron at least; maybe UMass, although I'd like to give them a couple years to see how they develop (they're likely to go to the AAC anyway).  Buffalo could develop also.  But BSU has beaten us the last two times we played them and Kent has beaten us three out of four.  Plus, both did pretty well last year vs AQ schools, so there's not much to complain about if they get their attendance numbers up.  The problem with MAC schools is that they're waystops and not the final destination for most coaches, so it's tough for most of them to have any kind of program continuity.

I think the Big East should have went after UMASS after BC left.

Not sure they would be in future expansion plans now that the America stretches all the way to Texas. If Yukon ever makes it to the ACC Umass would be up North all by themselves. I think if Yukon and Cincinnati go somewhere else America will be looking at Southern Miss, La Tech or FIU over UMASS. Maybe even San Antonio if they build a decent program.
