Herman cut by Giants but expected to be placed on practice squad if nobody else picks him up. Still waiting on Bates status. LaVon is suspended for the first two games, so he doesn't count against the 53-man limit.  Allows the Colts to look at someone else (even at another position) a couple weeks more while keeping LaVon off the market while they decide his future with them.
