That punt block... wow, and I'm terrified of the Falcons at this point.

If Akron could make their field goals they'd be winning right now. That is truly shocking.

Nvm: Despite missing 2 of 3 field goals, Akron is now winning in the Big House....

24-21 Akron with 4:10 left. Just another reason for Michigan to dislike Ohio teams.

Down 21-17 with about 12:00 to go Akron put a great drive together down to the Michigan 2 only to throw a pick in the endzone. I assumed that they would crumble after that. It was their big opportunity in the 4th quarter...

But nope! The D stopped Gardner for a 3-and-out and then drove right back down the field for a touchdown. There are 4 minutes left and chances are Michigan will find a way to win, but props to Akron for not folding like most underdogs do when the breaks start going against them. I think the announcers said the Zips have lost 24 or 27 straight road games. Can that possibly be true? That's insane..

Akron hasn't beaten a 1A school since they beat Buffalo at home in the last game of the 2010 season -- that's 24 straight losses to 1A schools.

Their last road win was at EMU on 10/18/08.  Their last OOC road win was on 9/20/08 at Army.  Their last road win vs an AQ school was on 9/6/08 at Syracuse.

As for BGSUcks, what a disappointing showing today.  I expected them to at least play close, if not win.  For Akron to have a better game at Mich than BGSUcks did at Ind is dumbfounding.  One of the best Ds in the MAC gave up 600 total yds to the Hoosiers including 266 on the ground.  No offensive TDs, even though they had eight more plays and won the possession battle 35-25.

We will get by.
We will get by.
We will get by.
We will survive.
