"It's been 45 years since we've won the conference. Our coaches suck, our play-calling sucks, our recruits suck, our fans suck, everything sucks."

WE ARE GOING TO WIN THE MAC.

We're talking about a Frank Solich coached team here.

We're talking about a two (2) time Big 12 coach of the year. This won't even be the first conference championship in his trophy case.

We're talking about the man who conquered Idaho and did not rest until we won Independence.

If there's one coach in this league... if there's one man in this league, it's Frank Solich.

We'll be ready.

It's been a while since I was a cheerleader, but Rowdy is right. Cheerleaders, like the 110, dance team, mascots, equipment managers, training staff and others, work very hard to provide the best game day experience they can. That's purely Bobcat Pride. 

And unlike the players, who for the most part have their tuition and expenses paid for, these student-athletes receive shockingly little support from the university.

Keep in mind that most students average about 18 hours a week of classes. Cheerleaders average about twice that per week with games, travel*, practice, workouts, alumni functions, fundraising, etc.

But despite the hard work/time commitment, I would do it all again.

Best experience ever.

*wanna ride from Athens to Western Michigan and back in one day with 15 others, including flags, signs, megaphones and a sweaty mascot costume in one sweet-smelling university van?
