I had not had that thought, but when I read this I had an epiphany.  You are brilliant, my man.  I think that's a very good analogy.  Now we need to replace him with a N'dour.

No way. U cannot be serious in comparing them. Tyler the best QB at Ohio ever. A few bad games does not a career make. Does Ivo have the best of anything other than most fadeaway attempted?

Tettleton has been getting by on reputation since before Miami last year. Time for him to sit

The analogy doesn't work. Ivo wasn't the star player of the team and Tyler largely is.

Ivo was a key cog in the Sweet 16 run.  Then the next year he quit.  I do see the analogy.

DJ Cooper was the quarterback of the offense for the basketball team. Ivo was a role player with success in the system under John Groce.

Yes, there is a difference. Ivo used to be a basketball player and TT used to be a football player.

With an attitude like that, I hope he enjoys them for the bench!

Is this him speaking or is this him not given a chance to win by Tim Albin and Frank Solich with the play calling they dial up. The Buffalo game going into half time Jeff Quinn while its risky tries to push for 3 points with 50 seconds on the clock. The most dynamic or aggressive play calling minds in college football aren't sitting in Athens right now.

The difference between those two is that one was able to beat Northern Illinois.

Honestly, I would love to understand what is going through his head right now.  Kudos to him for being subdued when he could explode about the coaches or this aspect of the team or whatever other things are plaguing this team and possibly causing complete internal meltdown (if critical mass hasn't been reached yet,) but I would expect a young man with a competitive spirit to be angry at least for tonight about this game.

Heh; maybe.  I was more so alluding to infighting in the program.  It's obvious something isn't right.  But as bad as things could be with our issues on the field, issues in the locker are far more cancerous.  If you have a team that just isn't up to snuff on the field, graduation and recruiting change a lot.  But when your players turn on each other, it is the worst cancer in the game.

I know the QB is the most visible target, but what's happened to this team isn't just on his shoulders.  Play calling sucks.  Receivers are dropping easy passes.  The RBs aren't hitting the few holes that open.  The O line isn't run or pass blocking.  The defense is just flat-out getting bowled over.  And even special teams has been atrocious. The last two games have been a total team effort.

I agree with your statement, this whole team has sucked. I am 99% sure though that Tettleton has a big issue with the play calling and doesn't like it. As a quarterback and senior leader, you cannot outwardly whine and moan after every play. The rest of the team can see that, and the fans can see that. His displeasure and defiance of the coaching staff bleeds over into all the other players and here we are at having an ENTIRE team playing sloppy and without effort. Tettleton may not like the play calling, and I completely agree with him, but his job is to lead this team and run every play with confidence like it will work. Let the higher ups decide if they want to get rid of the OC.

It would seem as if TT has been handing the ball off on the option read 99.99% of the time this year as a way to stick his finger in the collective eye of the coaching staff.  If they were indeed telling him to hand the ball off and not make that read, then I would suspect we would see Vick doing the same thing.  But we don't.....seems as if Vick has kept the ball 40-50% of the time....and generally makes positive plays when he does run it.  Many times this year we have moved the chains better with Vick than we have with TT.

I think it's obvious TT had a falling out with the coaches last year when he got injured.  There seems to have been more at play when he took that sack to end the game @Fiami last year.

Just my gut feeling on it!

JSF, attribute those same words to Ellen Herman in her senior year at OHIO, and can you honestly say you wouldn't be disappointed by them?  If so then you are a bigger man than me, but I can't imagine that is an attitude she would have held.

If a basketball would have said these words JSF would jump off a cliff. No secret he's never been a fan of football in general, or OHIO Football in particular. Just kind of the casual observer.

I would agree that he hasn't been the same player since the Miami game. I don't know if its an attitude thing, or just a loss of confidence, but clearly something isn't the same.

I think it's clear that there is a morale or an attitude problem with some of the players on the team. I don't know who the people are that are the problem, but anyone that isn't playing to do their best should not be playing.

I am not prepared to blame all of our problems on TT, although clearly he is not and really has not been the superstar we all thought he was, since at least last years Miami game. Further OUr problems overall did not just surface in these last two games. This train wreck has shown glimpses of itself every year for a number of years. I think we have all had our fill especially after these last two weeks. It has been nine years and we are nowhere near a MAC crown.
