Totally disagree. Tettleton played with tons of heart, emotion, and effort. The team came up short. End of story.

I think TT felt one of his receivers was held. Still a big mistake to just walk out of bounds.

Yes, blowing read options and stepping out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage is a great illustration of heart and determination. He has been trying to avoid injury all year long and the offense has suffered.

Look at his stats, especially running the ball or lack there of. Yes i know our OL has been pretty bad this year but still i rarely saw him scramble and if he did he would walk out of bounds or sit down on the field.

When I hear somebody say a player "played without heart" It's obvious to me that person has never laced it up and competed. You mean to tell me that a senior, who may be playing his last football game ever, and on national TV to boot, didn't leave it all out there? That is a ridiculous statement.

Yes these are ALWAYS people who have never played a sport much less a D1 sport. You don't do anything without heart or at half speed. Sometimes you just get beat or out coached. Stuff is faster out there than any of you couch all americans can fathom. TT is the BEST QB OHIO HAS EVER HAD. period.

Watched the entire game. I don't doubt the effort he put into this game at all. I also find it disgusting that there are folks who will disparage his play or others. Don't think anyone on this board got lit up today like he and others did today and this year. They're collegiate athletes, not pros. We don't know the reasons why he didn't run as much this year, and likely won't ever know. Move on and give the kid some credit for what he's done for the program.

Many athletes play without heart. Keon Clark averaged 15 points in the NBA and said he never played a game while sober. So your rationale and justification of TT is false. Stats and body language don't lie, he packed it in. I wish him well, but I am not mesmerized by him beating Penn State, I am sorry. Ivo Baltic also confessed that he lost his fire as well during his senior year and vows to have a good career.

I hope TT ends his student athlete career on a positive note with his degree from Ohio University. That being said, I am thankful his career as an athlete is over. I am tired of reading the psychoanalysis of TT. Good Luck Mr. Tettleton and thanks for the memories. Good and Bad.

Wow you guys are brutal! Tyler is without a doubt the best quarterback in Ohio history! (the records will concur with this statement) However, it is true that we are all going to be left wondering what exactly did happen as his career progressed. He had the potential to probably increase his numbers twofold! I for one will choose to remember his time here for all of the positive moments! 5 Bowl games, Penn State, His record vs Miami and Marshall!

I'll be the first to say I've been hard on Tyler this year, but not today...kid played his heart out and I won't complain about that. I'm going to miss him. I think looking back here in 5 years, we'll wish Tettleton could come back and play for the Cats again.

Just wish he would have used his feet more. In the fourth quarter when he ran for a first down, on a 3rd and long, it almost seemed like there was a WTF pause, as the ESPN announcers were taken by surprise. For one last time we were treated to the exciting and talented Tyler of old. Thanks for the memories, and good luck in your endeavors!

While all of us know the past year and a half did not goe as well as we had hoped, Tyler and this group of seniors accomplished a great deal and despite a probable rebuilding stint the next year or so, we have advanced the program overall in the big picture.

My 81-Year Old father in Columbus is in failing health after multiple heart by-pass and valve surgeries, a stroke, esophageal cancer, skin cancer and he should have both knees replaced, but the doctor said he can't endure the surgery. I traveled to Columbus last year from Richmond to meet him to drive to the Penn State game with the realization it might be the last sporting event we would ever attend together. Needless to say, the victory at Penn State is a day I will never forget. Thank you to Tyler and the Seniors for that wonderful memory.

I really wish people would stop bringing TT's records up when talking about Ohio football and him being the supposed "greatest QB we've ever had."

WE'VE HAD NO PASSING HISTORY. Have you looked at the stats beyond TT? I'd argue his stats are inflated because of 1) the offense he played in, 2) starting for three years without major inury and 3) arguably the best group of WRs that Ohio has seen or will ever see during his tenure.

He's been a great QB and he's won a lot of games for Ohio and he's been a fun guy to watch, but there is no arguing that something was missing this year. And it's not entirely on the O-line or the backs or the receivers or the coaching or the play calling. Something's just not there.

While Tyler was a good stabilizing force at the position, which we did not have the previous 10 or so years I do agree with Dexter bobcat......he hit his full potental 2 years ago and for what ever reason could not advance his game.
