Two Florida corners declared early for the draft this year, Marcus Roberson and Louchiez Purifoy. Both were touted as potential first round draft choices, but after performing poorly in pre-draft workouts and having questions about off-the-field issues, neither was drafted at all, and apparently neither has even signed a UFA agreement. Too bad for them they didn't stay another year in college, I guess.

Did they sign with an agent?  Otherwise, they could go back to college, couldn't they?

Nope. Once you're in the draft, you're done.

In basketball, this would be true, but I believe in football, once you declare, you cannot return to college.

I think Purifoy at one point was considered the best DB in the SEC last year.
