Not a more fitting place for him to resurface. Now their sports page can be as irrelevant as the rest of the rag.

I'm always torn on these types of things. Everyone deserves a second (third?) chance, right? But sometimes the offense is repugnant enough that normal rules don't apply. I must say that I'm shocked that this is happening in SF of all places. One can only hope that Mr. M has his stuff in a pile now.

His domestic violence background should make him effective in covering the NFL and the NBA.

His confrontational style should do him well in the social media age full of angry, profane, libelous twitterers.

Sounds like a good hire to me.
