Three constants the last 5-10 years or so have been these guys. In the not too distant future, one or all of these guys will be gone. We've been lucky to have them and I will miss them even without a MACC in football. It will be interesting to see what happens on all fronts when the changes happen.

(rapid refreshing in anticipation of Alan Swank's reply to the above post)

The Few, The Proud, The Bobcats!

And for the record, I hate tOSU, and Ricordati and Torgerson are DB's.

"This isn't just another walkover from the MAC." Kirk Herbstreit, another DB, on College Football Gameday

Ohio is set up pretty well as long as McDavis is in the president's chair. He's the guy making the commitment to athletics and taking the shots from local media (and by that I mean ridiculous Post articles), students, and faculty against athletics. Schaus has done some great things too and is a good leader, I'm actually surprised he has stuck around this long.

I guess you could call this somewhat of a Golden Era of Ohio athletics. Countless Volleyball MAC titles. Football and basketball have had great success in the last 10 years. Field Hockey is good. Baseball just won the MAC title. Women's basketball is on the rise. Really, what hasn't Ohio done well in at least one season?

Wallowing in the past. Get over it. Leaders make decisions. Not all of them are popular.

I see the last 5 years as the new normal for the athletic department. Nationally the sports programs have made occasional headlines but the real story is consistency within the MAC. Any area that can be addressed on the recruiting front without spending a lot of money is addressed. Its a sports school attitude that wasn't there before.

Most Memorable Bobcat Events Attended
2010 97-83 win over Georgetown in NCAA 1st round
2012 45-13 victory over ULM in the Independence Bowl
2015 34-3 drubbing of Miami @ Peden front of 25,086

I can't remember 'em all since then, but I was a student when Bill Rohr was AD. That's 45 years ago. I think Schaus is the best AD over that period, had the most impact overall on athletic programs, and of the three gentlemen listed above, will be by far the most difficult to replace...
