Ohio's Record Indoors

per Arkley's tweet, he's covered Ohio for five indoor games. I gather Ohio hs actually played in seven, total, though:
2000 Ohio 23, Minnesota 17
2006 CMU 31, Ohio 10
2009 Marshall 21, Ohio 17
2009 CMU 20, Ohio 10
2010 Troy 48, Ohio 21
2011 NIU 23, Ohio 20
2013 ECU 37, Ohio 20

So, Ohio is 1-6 overall indoors, and 0-6 under Solich. I seem to recall that in many of these games, or perhaps all of them, Ohio had a major cramping/dehydration problem, especially late in the games. Has Ohio figured out the answer to that? Can Ohio nab it's first win indoors under Solich?

Edit - fixed a typo (was EIU, should have been ECU), and added the Minnesota game from 2000.

The last one, which had me confused, is ECU. The next year, we played EIU (Eastern Illinois) at home and beat them pretty handily. And all the games listed are either the MACC or bowl games. Thus, we were playing some pretty great competition.

Am I wrong in thinking that Ohio has consistently had cramping/hydration issues in indoor games? Will being able to have some experience practicing indoors, in the IPF, change Ohio's record inside in the future?

Ohio should get at least a couple chances inside this year, at Idaho, and at Minnesota.

The final easily could have been 30-17. As time was running down, Coach Grobe had his QB take knees on about the Gopher 3-yard line.

That was the game in which Brinker rand for a TD, threw a TD pass and caught a TD pass.

Brinker's HB passes were always a fun wrinkle. Teams were so focused on stopping the option that there was almost always a wide open receiver. "Go Brinker Go! Wait, why is he slowing...OH YES YES YES!!! HE CAUGHT IT!!! YES YES YES!!!!"

I believe you are missing another trip to Minnesota in 1999, we got throttled pretty good and then turn around and physically punished them the next year.

Whoa - in Solich's press conference, someone asked:
"I think Ohio is 0-6 inside domes since you got here. And granted, these games are all conference championship games, bowl game, so the level of competition is different. Has there been an issue in years past with�cramping was a issue before if I remember right�playing indoors? Will the IPF help with that? Is it a non-factor in your mind? Is it just a coincidence? Is there anything to late-seasons struggles inside domes for you guys?"

Solich's answer was:

Agreed, I really like what U of M has done, its not to large, has great amenities, sells beer and is in a great on-campus location.

Stanford's "new" stadium results from a major downsizing - from 80,000 to 50,000 or thereabouts.
